Even though we arrived prior to check in, we were able to get into our very clean room. The breakfast was much better than at a lot of hotels. It kept us fueled until dinner.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We booked a king room and when we arrived they said they were fully booked and there was no note on the reservation about a king room. I think that is either untrue or their systems need a lot of work.

Positives: Kwik trip next door, easy access to downtown, good location to Little Girls Point, Copper Peak, waterfalls. Overall quiet, bed was pretty soft (good thing), fridge/freezer & microwave. Negatives: Hot tub had algae, pool deck paint was chipping. Used the whirlpool in the room and water was dirty (not sure if city was flushing hydrants or the whirlpool tub jets hadn't been used for a while). Entry door toward back of building didn't close completely until you pulled it closed, which could've been a security issue. The bathroom tiles in bathroom were loose.

Location was excellent, offering easy access to everything on both sides of the Wisconsin- Michigan border. Room was neat and clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely consider staying here again the next time I’m in the area.
