"My sister and I planned our trip to your hotel all due to our love for Freddie Mercury. Not only was the hotel filled with pictures of Freddie and Queen, our interaction with Maria was nothing short of amazing! Her bright smile, helpful dinner recommendations and overall warmth was outstanding, four thumbs up and ten stars!!! Maria absolutely deserves the best and all the kudos! Maria should be employee of the year!!"

"Very clean room. Staff all friendly and spoke English and French to us. Excellent location for the lake, train station and all amenities. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Comfortable beds. Corridor looks a bit run down but the rest of the hotel is fine."

"We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Seaside in Spiez. The room was comfortable and good for us. There was no air-conditioning, but we were able to open the door and windows for fresh air. We arrived before check-in time, and the hotel allowed us to leave our luggage while we explored Spiez. The receptionist was helpful and explained how to get to the pier and told us about the beautiful walking path along the lake behind the property. We really enjoyed walking there. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful, with Lake Thun, mountains, flowers, and lovely houses. Transportation was also very convenient. We could travel between Spiez and Thun by boat or train, and there is bus transportation between the train station and the hotel. Breakfast was good, and we especially enjoyed eating with the beautiful lake view from the dining area. We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the peaceful location and beautiful scenery."

"You cannot beat the location. Very close to the train station and right on the main walkway that lines the lake. While I have read others rave about the breakfast, we did not feel the same way. 30CHF was a bit steep. While there was a wide selection of food - pancakes, an egg station, cheese/meet and fruit, we thought most of the prepared food didn't taste that great, just lacked seasoning, but I guess to be expected from a buffet. I think if you are going to get breakfast from here it is almost better to order stuff individually or find a cafe nearby. Other than that, the staff were all very nice, the free coffee, water, candy and popcorn station was a hit with our son and we enjoyed being able to step right out of the hotel and walk down the pathway along the lake."

"The manager, Loïc, greeted us by name when we first arrived—we must have been the last guests expected that night. He was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a family room with three bunk beds (so six beds total). Everyone was comfortable. Our room had one bathroom with a sink and toilet and another bathroom with a sink and shower. That was convenient for getting ready in the morning. The room looked brand new and was very clean. We left the windows open at night and enjoyed the fresh air. It was a really quiet overnight, with the sound of the waterfall across the street in the background. It was a really nice change from our stay in Geneva. Breakfast was great: scrambled eggs, hard and soft boiled eggs, bacon, croissants, breads, jams, cheeses, yogurts, cereal, juices, coffee, and hot chocolate. We ate the restaurant for dinner one night, and that was really good too."

"5/5 ⭐️ Excellent location directly across from the train station, which made getting around incredibly easy. A big plus was having air conditioning in the rooms, especially during the summer months. Just be aware that the restaurants are not air-conditioned, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during hot weather. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!"
