The Bear Den

A great getaway on the Big Laramie River is waiting for you. If you are interested in fishing for trout the Big Laramie River is for you. When you stay at the Bear Den you have over 3 miles of access to river fishing. The Bear Den is secluded, newly remodeled, and nestled along the Big Laramie River. It affords numerous miles of hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails in Jelm BLM and in the Medicine Bow National Forest. The iconic Snowy Range Mountains are a short and scenic drive away.
We now offer electricity, water and internet for RV's. You can camp along the Big Laramie River.

The River runs Through It
Everything was so nice and accommodating! Watching all the wildlife from a wall of windows, was wonderful. We watched mule deer a herd of 23 we counted. We watched other fishermen catching fish in river. Enjoyed our family time together.

AMAZING Property! Fantastic hosts!
Loved, loved, loved this property! Best VRBO we have ever stayed in! Quiet, peaceful, well-appointed, comfortable, amazing area. Phil and Jennifer were wonderful hosts - communicative and responsive! Starlink Wi-do was awesome for remote working. Deer and red fox excellent co-workers, lol. Highly recommend! Great history regarding Dr. Bear. Hope to be back again some day!

We greatly enjoyed our stay from fishing and tubing in the river to relaxing in the hot tub. The house had everything we needed and many extras (bug spray, movies, yard games). The hosts were incredibly welcoming and gracious and helpful during our stay. We hope to next summer.

This place was perfect for our family. There was something for everybody! A short distance from Laramie and Cheyenne. Phil also was a great host offering suggestion on things to do in addition to what we had planned. He also showed my boys the best fishing spots on the river. We will be back!

Fantastic property, extremely quiet and relaxing. Great location along the river. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed playing in the big yard and river. House was very well appointed and very clean. So many things to do in the area and wildlife viewing, hiking, and fishing were our priority. Hot tub was bonus and nice way to wind down after a day full of activities!

Even Better Than The Pictures!
As a family of four, we prefer to stay at VRBO properties when traveling and this is our favorite so far. The house is clean and modern with a unique charm. All of the nicely labeled amenities and extra touches are above and beyond. The beautiful location feels secluded while being close enough to Laramie for food and shopping needs. It is also just a quick 40 minutes to Snowy Range Ski Area. We really appreciate you sharing your property with us. Thank you for making our trip even better than expected!

St Patricks at the Bear Den
The Bear Den is a place we want to continue to return to when possible. The location has got to be one of the best in the area. On the Laramie river with mountain views and different recreation available. The Bear Den is well equipped with much more than the usual amenities available. The host is 5 star as is the property. A couple of miles from the Woods Landing Resort/honky tonk. The weekend entertainment with dancing makes this a fun place to visit.

Absolutely beautiful!
This place has the perfect location for peace and quiet. We stayed after a recent snow and it was absolutely beautiful! The mountain and river views are incredible! The owners make you feel welcome and right at home. You have everything you need for a great get away. We didn’t get to take advantage of the hot tub or fire pit but we hope to return one day so that we can!

Nice place for a quiet, restful getaway
Beautiful property and modern cabin with many special touches. Enjoyed all the bear themed decor and the history behind the origin of the cabin. About 25 miles from the nearest gas station so plan accordingly. This would be a great place for a family adventure.

Great Relaxing Weekend
This is our second visit to the Bear's Den and we continue to be amazed at the thoughtful attention to detail that the LeBeaus give to their property. Everything is well maintained. Easy to follow instructions for heaters, fans, appliances, etc. They even have waders and poles for use if you want to fish. Lovely property right on the Laramie River with lots of places to walk. We will definitely be back again!

What a wonderful location!
My sons and I went for a fishing weekend. You can’t beat the location right on the Big Laramie river! Beautiful property with all the amenities you could want. They even supplied makings for S’mores! It’s a short drive into the Medicine Bow mountains or down into Colorado. Very relaxing and lots of things to do on the property and near by. We enjoyed it so much we’ve already booked another stay for the whole family! Super helpful Hosts.
