“Location was awesome. Updates and amenities could be much better”

“We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. “Rustic bungalow near entrance to the river. Beds were cozy and comfortable, we slept well, bathroom was clean. Nice patio in front of room, which is on the 2nd floor. Beautiful property! And local shops are within walking distance. Negative: no screens on the windows, which we could open but had to close in the evening due to mosquitoes, one desk fan provided, the room was uncomfortably warm when we arrived. One desk lamp for light in the bungalow, one light in the bathroom. I recommend this……
