We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Río Piedras in Jericó. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always willing to help with recommendations and anything we needed during our stay.
Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a great shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included and served at the hotel’s restaurant, and it was delicious with generous portions.
The location is one of the hotel’s biggest advantages. It’s right in the heart of Jericó, making it easy to walk to the main plaza, restaurants, shops, and all the town’s attractions. Since you’re in the center of town, you can expect some traffic and street noise, but we didn’t find it excessive or disruptive.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Río Piedras to anyone visiting Jericó. The excellent staff, comfortable accommodations, tasty breakfast, and unbeatable location made it a great place to stay.
Very nice stay on park. Restaurant on first floor, this hotel is next to church on park so you are in the middle of everything. Many cafes, restaurants and shops. Staff is friendly and room was clean.
I wanted a room right in the middle of the center of town and I got it. I also wanted a place that wasn’t very expensive and very low key and I got that as well. However I didn’t realize it was a 3 star hotel and I guess I got what I paid for.
At first I was put in a room with a balcony looking out to the main square. Sounds lovely but it was packed with people (because of Semana de Santa - Easter) and extremely loud in the room. So I asked to be moved to another room which the staff did with no problems. They were very nice which was the best part of the hotel. The room felt like a prison cell. White walls, no pictures and no windows at all. Luckily I had a fan because it was rather warm in there. It was clean but that’s the best I can say. The free breakfast was lacking as well. I only ate it once. One egg, one piece of slightly toasted bread and some fruit that may have been canned. Also there was no water for a shower on the day I was to leave but I think the whole town was like that so I cant blame the hotel. I dislike making negative comments like this because the people who work there are just wonderful . Really nice and really helpful. I’d suggest staying elsewhere off the main square and go to Jerico at another time not during a holiday because you’ll be joined by 100’s of others!
Staff very nice. Room extremely noisy. Switched rooms. Cleaning staff were doing something in the room next door. At midnight & from 5am onwards. Breakfast horrible especially for my vegan partner
We booked the king size bed suite. The rooms of this hotel are right next to a main street where all vehicles, especially noisy motorbikes and trucks have to travel to move around the city at any time. It feels like sleeping on the road. The noise of the motorbikes did not allow us to sleep for 2 nights, the room is a clean room that seems to have been remodeled, but it looks like a prison with high white ceilings without any wall decoration, just a TV on the wall full of ugly cables that lead to a huge table with which you hit your knee when walking. The windows do not have curtains to block out the morning light, which means that at six a.m. you’ll be awake . When we woke up (after a few hour sleep) we found out that the water heater was not working, having to shower in 58f (14c) weather, with water as cold as a cold river. Some people complained about it, and at night we managed to get hot water, but the next morning the water was freezing again. Staying in this hotel was a nightmare, the reasons to stay in a hotel is to sleep well and have a nice shower, neither can be achieved in this place. The staff, although friendly, did not guide us correctly on how to get tour guides to learn about Jericó, even gave us wrong directions. The food at the restaurant was horrible, we ate on one occasion and left the whole pizza on the table. The stay includes breakfasts, breakfasts that consisted of only 3 options, no juices, just coffee or tea, horrible, a poorly cooked single egg,
