“On our route 66 trip we wanted to stay in old route 66 properties and this one was perfect. These cottages were built in the 40's and they are adorable.”

“Very quiet old motel off Route 66 with a lake and park right next door. The rooms have been renovated but managed to keep that nostalgic feeling! Having a fridge with an actual freezer was amazing, and access to the laundry room was very convenient. We loved having our car right outside our room door for loading and unloading.”

“The room was clean and the property was good. The price for our room was very good. However, we had a better breakfast at the Super 8 in Cameron, MO. There was no hot food other than what you could put in a toaster. I was disappointed in the available breakfast items.”

“It was very good for what we needed to attend a family funeral in Carthage, MO. Staff was great. Parking right in front of our door. Located near shopping for anything you might need. Good luck to the new management. We thank you helping us during a sad time. Travelers from Rhode Island.”

“The Guest House in Carthage is your basic 1960’s Motel that has been renovated with updated interiors and a good kiss of maintenance on the outside. Everything was clean. Nothing was particularly special, but it was what I needed near the end of a long motorcycle journey. The gentleman who checked me in was professional, kind, and polite, even lending me his carport to protect my bike from the elements and provide a modicum of security. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it……
