The Space:

White stucco walls, terracotta roof tiles, and graceful archways give Pine Desert Ranch the character of a classic desert hacienda, while colorful textiles, handcrafted tile, and natural wood bring warmth and personality indoors. The 2,400-square-foot home wraps around a palm-lined courtyard, creating an inviting gathering place at its center. With spaces for playing, exercising, cooking, and unwinding, six guests can enjoy a full day together without ever feeling confined to one room.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The courtyard is the heart of Pine Desert Ranch. Framed by white stucco walls, palms, and terracotta rooftops, it's designed for the kind of afternoons that turn into evenings without anyone wanting to leave. Pull up a stool at one of the concrete bar tables, stretch out on the cushioned benches, or gather around the gas fire pit as the sky turns pink above the rooftops.



Beyond the courtyard, the 10-foot cowboy tub sits on a cedar deck overlooking the desert landscape and distant mountains. A cushioned double daybed makes it easy to spend an afternoon alternating between the water and the sunshine. The cowboy tub is seasonal and unavailable November through March.



The seven-person saltwater hot tub offers another place to unwind, especially after a long hike or a competitive afternoon in the game room. A covered patio with a propane BBQ makes outdoor cooking easy, while bocce ball brings a little friendly rivalry into the fresh air.



With massive boulders nearby and the edge of Joshua Tree National Park within walking distance, the surrounding landscape is as much a part of the experience as the home itself.



-Living Area-

Inside, the living room trades the bright desert sun for warm terracotta tile, layered rugs, natural wood, and inviting textures. A sculptural coffee table anchors the seating area, while the tiled decorative fireplace gives the room a distinctly Southwestern character.



The real invitation here is to slow down. Browse the extensive vinyl collection, put a favorite record on the turntable, and settle into the comfortable seating for an afternoon of music and conversation. When the group wants a movie instead, the smart TV is ready.



Sliding glass doors connect the living area directly to the courtyard, making it easy for conversations to move between indoors and out. The fireplace is decorative and does not provide heat.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The kitchen has a fresh, understated look, with muted gray cabinetry, open wood shelving, patterned Zia tile, and stainless steel appliances. Its generous counter space and U-shaped layout make preparing meals together feel easy, whether you're assembling breakfast before heading into the park or cooking dinner for the whole group.



The kitchen is stocked with cookware, utensils, spices, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Coffee lovers will appreciate the Joshua Tree Coffee Co. whole beans and drip coffee maker for starting the day.



A wooden dining table seats six indoors, while the courtyard's bar tables offer a more casual place to share grilled meals, drinks, or snacks outside.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Three thoughtfully styled bedrooms accommodate up to six guests, each with an Avocado mattress and a warm, relaxed aesthetic. Woven textures, natural materials, and colorful textiles give the rooms their own personalities without sacrificing comfort.



Primary Suite: The king bedroom has a more private, retreat-like feel, with a ceiling fan, walk-in closet, and sliding doors opening onto its own patio. The ensuite bathroom is a highlight, featuring a freestanding soaking tub surrounded by warm clay-colored Zia tile and a spacious walk-in shower. It's a beautiful place to wind down after a day outdoors.



Second Bedroom: An Avocado queen mattress, woven furnishings, and relaxed desert-inspired styling create a welcoming place to recharge. The bedroom offers easy access to the central courtyard.



Third Bedroom: Another Avocado queen mattress and distinctive decorative details give this room its own character, along with convenient access to the courtyard.



The second and third bedrooms share a hallway bathroom. Both bathrooms feature Zia tile and contemporary fixtures, bringing the home's thoughtful design into the everyday routines of your stay.



-Game Room-

A change of pace awaits in the dedicated game room, where violet lighting and retro arcade machines create an entirely different atmosphere from the peaceful courtyard.



Challenge your group to Street Fighter II, Pac-Man, or other arcade favorites, then move on to Skee-Ball, foosball, and air hockey. All arcade games are free to play, so there's no need to keep track of quarters or limit the rematches.



It's a particularly fun space for families, groups of friends, and anyone who appreciates a little nostalgia with their vacation.



-Home Gym-

For guests who enjoy keeping up with their workouts while traveling, Pine Desert Ranch includes a dedicated home gym equipped with workout benches, a barbell, Olympic weight plates, and dumbbells.



Whether you're fitting in a strength session before exploring Joshua Tree or simply want the option to exercise without leaving the property, the gym adds another dimension to a stay designed around both activity and relaxation.



-Surrounding Area-

The edge of Joshua Tree National Park can be reached on foot from the house, and the West Entrance is there for a drive through the park. Más o Menos coffee and cocktail bar is the stop for a latte or a cocktail, and Indian Cove Campground and trails, Tortoise Rock Casino and the park's North Entrance round out the map.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.



The Neighborhood:

Pine Desert Ranch is in Panorama Heights, a quiet residential area of Joshua Tree off a paved road, set up high with views to the west and north and the boulders of the national park nearby. Permanent residents and other vacation rentals share the neighborhood. The edge of Joshua Tree National Park is a 5-minute walk from the house.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Mt. Lassen Ave. is a paved road directly off Highway 62. Pull through the open gate and park in the driveway on the south side of the house (left side when facing the front door), or out front in the unpaved drive. A maximum of 4 cars is allowed on the property (2 in the driveway and 2 in front). Rideshare apps are not guaranteed in this area.
