A 5 star experience in a wonderful wooded area of the city. Striking design and great ambience combined with top level amenities, excellent food and friendly staff make the stay at this hotel an experience that I will always remember. Get ready to be spoiled when staying at this hotel! Part of the amenities also includes plenty of parking and a free shuttle service to the train station.

Chalets super cute and comfortable. Ski ski out. Ski rental very convenient with lockers etc

Great spot. Highly recommend

Unbelievable service, excellent rooms. Everything was the utmost highest level in all facets.

This hotel just reopened in July 2016 as a Marriott and the rooms and facilities are brand new. It is far away from Karuizawa station and town if you don't have a car and the hotel shuttle is very very limited on what they will do for guests. We had good food in town and a nice day at the beautiful art park where the Sonnet restaurant is. People come to Karuizawa for golf and there are many golf courses to choose from. For upscale shopping or dining on the river Harunire is the place....

We enjoyed this hotel during a brief getaway during the summer to escape the Tokyo heat. The hotel is located in a very nice location in old Karuizawa (Kyo-Karuizawa), close to many nice restaurants and little shops, while also being very quite. Rooms are very large and modern, the hotel has its own hot spring (onsen), and high speed internet is free. Very friendly staff and a large and tasty breakfast buffer. We definitely plan to visit again.

Everything about my stay was perfect. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable.

Everything nice

Lovely atmospheric hotel nestled in the woods but only 10 min from the main station, with free shuttles running a few times a day. Comfortable, modern rooms. Very clean. Cute gift shop. A highlight was the delicious daily breakfast with some made-to-order options. Plenty of fresh vegetables from local gardens. I had the set menu for dinner one evening: Vegetable based menu, very clean and tasty. Beautiful garden-like setting. Private baths are available for free use. They are not...

eeee

Extremely nice staff. Room was comfortable and clean.

This was our second time stay, and we loved everything. The breakfast was excellent, but one foreign stuff member's sleeve was too short and the bottom was undone. The staff were friendly, though a few foreign staff members had difficulty understanding my questions in Japanese. This hotel is excellent, that is why I believe the customers would expect them to speak Japanese language in native level otherwise it will affect the longtime hotel history. I hope the hotel continues its excellent...

Great location.

Very helpful staff. Great breakfast. Location isn’t that pretty and road right next to the hotel is quite busy.
