Really friendly and welcoming place to stay and explore the Lake District. Stayed in a small but cosy and very comfortable room. Great food and nice pub/bar downstairs. Plenty of parking on site.
very nice stop off if travelling on M6 as much better than a Travellodge or Motorway motel . Lovely cosy room with all amenities . Only gripe , kitchen closed at 8 which does seem very early , but that is up to them .
Travelling with 4 year old daughter, very good stay, stayed for one night to visit family in Kendal, less than 10 mins drive away, large comfortable room, clean and nicely presented, good sized bed and comfortable, shared bed with daughter, large room was unexpected and ideal for her to play, smart decor throughout, didn't eat in bar so can't comment of food but the continental breakfast included although fairly basic was decent and a good selection of options (cooked breakfast you needed to order and separate charge). Small play park outside was also very nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially the lady who looked after us at breakfast, she was an absolute treasure!

Small country inn with 8 rooms . Ideal for a short stay visit to southern lakes. Bar and restaurant really good, rooms recently refurbished.
Nice enough place but ‘help yourself breakfast’ had no tables set up. The room had been used for a function the previous evening, which perhaps was the reason.
Very comfortable hotel, with a wonderful attentive staff. Well kept and clean hotel. Food was generous and very good.No problems or deficiencies encountered. Would certainly consider booking in future.
Lovely night away, the Inn was clean warm and cosy on a cold winters night.
The staff, especially Jordan are a credit, going over and a above, definitely be back soon.
Had a lovely stopover on the way south The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely and well cooked with big portions. Would definitely stay there again it was really nice.
Greeted by a cheerful and friendly member of staff. Booked in and showed to our room, called the Collie room. A lovely picture of a collie dog on the wall and two collie dog mugs in the room. Cosy room with comfy bed. The only minor drawback was that there was no bedside lights which was slightly awkward for reading
I stayed here a few years ago and it was good then. The upgrade to the hotel is fabulous. Mid afternoon arrival, everything in the room was new or spotless. The addt charge for breakfast was good value. The staff especially Jordan were very helpful.

Disliked: Room comfort
Room was clean. Bathroom clean. No grab handle to get in bath, dangerous if you are less mobile. Sounds from adjoining room very noticeable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food average
The staff were great! Unfortunately I was quite ill during my stay, I had to be rushed in to to Hospitam
The staff were great and helped in many ways, they made me feel special and I would recommend to anyone! Kind , helpful, friendly
Thank You So Much
The Inn is welcoming. The car park is large. The staff are friendly.
The room was comfortable and a nice size for 2 people and suitcases.
The bathroom and room are clean.
After travelling around the UK for four weeks, this is one hotel we can wholeheartedly recommend. Great food, great service, good room. The only complaint we thought we were going to have, was too much light from the exterior lights coming through the curtains, but we had overlooked that the window also had a blind!
