About this property

2 Bed in Keswick (oc-sz062)

  • Located in Keswick, at the northern end of the Lake District National Park, this property is brimming with history, having served as a shop, a Boy Scout hut, and a Quaker meeting house in its former life. It now offers guests the opportunity to explore nearby beauty spots and market towns. Keswick itself is a bustling town and a popular base for visitors, with plenty of cultural and adventure activities on offer. It sits on the shores of Derwentwater and is close to the lakes of Thirlmere and Bassenthwaite. Borrowdale Valley is nearby, boasting a variety of mountain walks, including Catbells, Coledale Horseshoe, Skiddaw and Blencathra – each varying in height and length, but all with magnificent views. Sitting just above Keswick is Castlerigg Stone Circle, an atmospheric location perfect for an early morning or evening walk. Or, for something more adrenaline-filled, head to Whinlatter Forest.

On entering the property, you’ll find yourself in the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Clean and contemporary, this is a comfortable place to snuggle up for an evening, with the large sofa providing ample space for everyone to relax. A breakfast bar separates the lounge from the kitchen and offers a modern dining space. The kitchen is contemporary and has a good amount of surface space for preparing meals. Neutral tones and spotlights make it bright and welcoming throughout. Heading up the staircase, there are two bedrooms on the first floor: a double and a single. Both rooms are immaculately presented with contemporary cottage furniture and views across the rooftops or the streets below. The good-sized family bathroom has a shower over the bath.

This property’s convenient location means you’re only a few hundred metres from the town centre’s shops, pubs and amenities.
