We are going back!!
This was a great spot for our 2 month stay in Key Largo! I gave it a 4 on location just because it’s not on the water but otherwise the location is wonderful. Great restaurants in walking distance or a short drive. 6 houses away on the corner is The Catch, a great locals bar and grill with good reasonably priced food and drink. It has a nice outdoor patio in back and live music on Friday and Saturday. Also a good Mexican food truck a block away that is open until 8:00!
And the other huge plus of the location is you are a 1/2 mile one direction to Publix and a 1/2 mile the other direction to John Pennekamp State Park!
The house was great with a wonderful large fenced backyard for our black lab to hang out! She loved watching (and trying to catch) the squirrels on the fence and trees! Your choice of 2 tables for eating outside and 2 zero gravity chairs for your reading or resting pleasure!
Only downside is having a futon instead of a real bed in the guest bedroom but there is an inflatable mattress that could work for guests if they don’t want to sleep on a futon.
A big plus for me was having a bike available which I used numerous times!!
Sandra was a super host! She met us on our arrival and showed us everything! She also had a wonderful gift basket there with essentials you might need. She also was immediately responsive if there was an issue that needed to be addressed! Example: The Blender container had many cracks in it so what you were blending came out the sides! As soon as I let her know she ordered a new one and had it shipped to the house!
We are coming back next January and February!! One last thing, the neighborhood is great to walk in and avoid being on crazy Hwy 1!
