I was pleasantly surprised by how well this older hotel has been maintained. While the property definitely has some age to it, my room was exceptionally clean and well cared for. It was clear that the staff takes pride in keeping everything in great condition. The room was comfortable, spotless, and made for a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again.

We come for home football games and stay here every time. The owners are great and the rooms, while outdated, are clean, the beds are comfortable and we have everything we need.

The staff is very kind and accommodating. This is an older property so the rooms show wear and tear, but the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and we had a good nights sleep. We will be booking this whenever we head to Kingsville.

While the furniture may be a little dated, the room and bath area were spotless and clean. All the appliances and TV worked just great.

The Budget Inn is a small property and we stay every time we are in Kingsville. The rooms are dated but very clean, very comfortable and we feel safe there. The staff are always friendly. We recommend this place to our family and friends who come down for football games. It’s just a few minutes drive to the stadium and TAMUK campus.

TO BE CLEAR, I wouldn't rate the room itself as "terrible;" I would rate it as "poor." I gave it the rating I did to try and lower the overall average to something more accurate. Perhaps it was my fault for not thinking "very good" could include thin, worn out sheets with small stains and a few hairs (dog, I believe). Maybe rust on metal parts, and a cigarette hole in the bedspread still qualifies for "very good."...but maybe that's just me.

It's no frills, but the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the staff is so nice. We stay here every time we are in town to see our TAMUK student.

Only ice and soda machine available. Soda machine didn't work. Ice was solid and had to chip at it but it was ice. Reserved a king, received 2 doubles. Took almost an hour to cool down because ac was off. And that was with the help of my personal fan. Room very outdated with a lot of rusty metal. But for what I paid, it was aplace to sleep. With my next job coming up in the area, I won't stay there again unless nothing else available
