“Our stay was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The first room we were given had multiple issues — the phone didn’t work, the air conditioning was broken (in 102° heat), and there were even French fries left on the floor, which made us question the cleanliness overall. We were moved to a second room, but unfortunately the AC didn’t work there either. The staff did offer us a free night and said the AC would be fixed the next day, but the room never cooled down. We ended up not……

“There was a mildew smell when we first entered the room. There was a leftover roll of toilet paper that was in the bed area. There was hair left in the shower and the coffee pot hadn’t been cleaned since the last guests. The hand towel by the sink appeared to have already been used.”

“I booked a king bed suite using Expedia.com; at the time of booking, I did not see anywhere in the correspondence that in addition to the $272 nightly room charge, I learned (after already paying the $272) at check-in that I was also responsible for an additional $50 deposit for incidentals. Essentially, I had no choice but to pay it or lose the $272 I had already applied for my reservation.
