This accommodation was from July 29-4, 2025 and was very impressed and planned to come back again if I return to Thailand because the staff provided excellent service. Our room was very clean. We booked a family room to see and liked it very much. The water flowed strongly and was very satisfying. The system was good and useful in many ways. It was very delicious. Hotel needs a significant update. The general layout doesn’t work and the rooms need a significant renovation. Most of the staff are fantastic. The beach is amazing, the pools not so good, with some strange sharp pebble dash slabs around each pool, making it dangerous to get in and out of the pool. Check-in was very slow. Food was good, but spend your money elsewhere, this is the worst Marriott Bonvoy we have stopped at.

Sheraton Samui has its charms, but overall, it felt a bit disappointing. The building is outdated, though well-maintained, but the shower facilities could use an upgrade as they felt old and unpleasant. The property has a lot of stairs, which may not be ideal for everyone. Unlike other hotels I’ve visited, the welcoming atmosphere felt lacking, with mixed staff experiences. The room was comfortable, and the pool area was a highlight, perfect for families. However, the location in Samui is less lively, with limited options for dining, shopping, and activities, making it less suited for solo travelers.

Rude staff with appalling customer experience. I was wrongly charged for my all inclusive package and when complained, I was asked to provide the name of staff that told me my package was all inclusive. You better remember the name of every single staff member when in doubt.

Decent but not great

Enjoyed our stay. Decent property but can do better. The property is a bit rundown and needs an upgrade. The breakfast restaurant is located in a block near the reception while the other restaurants are located near the beach and one needs a buggy to go from one end to another which can be a pain at times. There are no elevators and one needs to take number of steps to get to the rooms. This can be an issue for some senior folks or with people having knee issues. We booked a sea facing large room that was in the block near the restaurant - overall satisfied with the room and stay but given Sheraton our expectations were much higher. Breakfast is good. Pools are average but it’s connected to the beach so that’s a plus.

We liked the morning walk to breakfast up through the forest canopy and past the pools of colourful carp. Breakfast was always delicious and lots of food options. The pools were wonderful and relaxing as were the walks along the beach and the swims in the sea. At night we tried both restaurants and were impressed with every tasty item we ordered. The beds were very comfy and we slept very well. Such a great experience.

Our room was close to the lobby and therefore further from the beach - the hotel provided constant buggy service to take guests to and from the beach from that part of the hotel. The beach was absolutely beautiful, with very few people around. The beach pool was great, and the beach bar and restaurant very pleasant. All staff were very helpful and friendly.

Just amazing!!

It was just amazing. Staf was great and helpful. The food at the blue monkey was great. The pictures on the internet is not doing it justice. The scenery is amazing.
