It was our first time to Bonaire. Definitely more chill than Aruba. I chose the penthouse apt thinking that I would have a beautiful condo with a view. The view of the ocean was good and I loved the outdoor space and the wind helped with the heat. When the ad said there was AC, it wasn’t clear that there was NO A/C in the living rm so I spent a lot of time in the bedroom because it had a mini split. I asked to be moved but mgmt said all unit didn’t have AC in the living room. And the kitchen cabinets and layout were pretty bad! The owners need to do an upgrade. If I were to come back, I would definitely stay close to the center of town. I loved the restaurant across the street and I wish I had know that there was a way to climb down to the ocean to swim in front of the restaurant. I found out the day before we were leaving. Oh well. It was a pretty property and the staff was nice but not having AC in the living area was not ideal for me.
