La Concha Beach Tours

Situated very close to the huge University, the accommodation is essentially upmarket student rooms, with many of the residents obviously students. This doesn't mean it is bad, just not a hotel experience as such. On arrival, reception was a little confusing - the website had been badgering me to pre-checkin online, and despite having done so (and received confirmation) I'd had a further two messages urging me to check in, and at first reception wanted me to do it again manually.....but then found that they had all the details recorded. Not very efficient. Very friendly though.... Room was as shown on the website - described as "Superior double", but to my mind basic. On using the shower it became apparent that the shower-head mount was broken. Also the desk chair back was unsupportive. Both faults reported and quickly fixed. Could never work out how to connect the TV - it seemed to need to be connected to the Wifi but was just too much trouble for a couple of nights. Breakfast was a choice of four basic light meals, but very reasonably priced. Its described as cafeteria, which is correct - bright and welcoming but again student level accommodation. Overall well located for the Malvarossa beach, and with good tram and bus links, and comfortable for a short stay, but to my mind expensive for what it offered.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The property was in a great location with plenty of things to do around the neighborhood.
