Lübbenau/Spreewald

"A wonderful hotel. Very premium and modern aesthetic. Hotel has minimal amenities like soap and hotel slippers and hair dryer only so you need to bring your own shampoo or toothbrush. Breakfast buffet is great. Will stay there again if we hit the area. Location is great , near the tourist boat tour. But there’s nothing much to do other than biking , and walking around a small riverside/nature area. The neighboring Lehde town is cute but super tiny. Can’t imagine being here more than 2 nights."

"Had a one night stay as we were driving through the area. Cons: No AC in the room, and it was WARM. Old and rock hard beds. Rooms were very loud, and i could hear my neightbour snoring just as well as i heard the traffic from the autobahn. Breakfast was ok. Not too much to choose from, but for the price of the stay i guess it was ok. Pros: Easy and accessible parking. Friendly staff. Very close to the Autobahn, easy choice when you are just travelling through the area."

Tropical Islands Resort

"I like everything in the room."

"Fließ-Paradies" Vacation Home with Private Sauna | Leipe, Spreewald

10/10 Excellent

10/10 Excellent

"I was there for my birthday. The facility was lovely and historic. Room was huge with pretty view of the city. Breakfast buffet was good with a big selection. Only thing was they didn’t make my birthday special. Just gave me two tiny chocolates lol. With all the money spent there they could have atleast given me a slice of cake. I had breakfast and dinner there, nothing not even a welcome fruit platter. They sure have no idea to celebrate :-("

Sorat Hotel Cottbus

10/10 Excellent

"Right in the heart of the old section of Cottbus. Perfect location. Staff was helpful and breakfast was excellent. Self service laundry worked out well, and everything functioned as expected. Our room was on Floor 3 (the Fourth Floor in Europe) and the roof of part of the hotel was below our window. They could have just had us view the vents, but the entire roof below our window was sodded and planted with wildflowers. Nice touch."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Leipe?

The best time to visit Leipe is during the late spring and summer months, specifically from May to September, when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities.

During these months, you can expect warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, which are ideal for exploring the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve. This period is superb for couples and families looking to experience the region's natural beauty through activities like punting tours along the canals, cycling on the scenic paths, or kayaking. Many local guesthouses and restaurants are fully operational, offering fresh, regional cuisine and a welcoming experience.

While the summer months offer the warmest weather, late spring (May and early June) and early autumn (September) provide a slightly quieter experience with comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds.
