“The Chalet was truly a perfect weekend getaway! We stayed two nights with our dog, Meeko, who had the time of his life exploring. The Chalet was beautiful, clean, and private. We enjoyed a trip to the caverns which was very convenient and spent the rest of the time at the cabin. There were board games which we played endlessly and the firepit was awesome. We roasted hot dogs and smores and enjoyed the outdoor space. The hot tub was clean and the relaxing. The views were just magical. A 10/10……

“The pictures on VRBO do not do this place justice. It is beautiful here. The view from the porch is absolutely amazing. Location is close to anything you need. We kayaked nearby, hiked, ziplined, and fished every night. My kids even braved the dark to try some catfishing! They are HUGE and plentiful from the fishing area! You feel very secluded there. We even saw the Milky Way! We grilled, watched movies and just had a wonderful time!”

“Well appointed home. Location is gorgeous, extremely private, quiet, close to the river with 2 seating areas by the water, one with a fire pit and grill. Owners quick to respond. ”

“We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Falling Leaf Cabin and had so much fun! We had meals at The Chop House Bistro, Dsrk Horse Irish Gastro Pub, West Main Market Beer and Wine Garden, Gathering Grounds Cafe and Glen Gordon Manor - all were fantastic! We loved the back deck and were often relaxing and reading our books out there. The hot tub was the best - seeing the fireflies at night in the yard was special. The beds were comfortable and Andrea was available for any questions we had.……

“Had a wonderful three day stay in this rustic mountaintop cabin. Kitchen was decently stocked, both bathrooms worked well, and beds were comfortable. Owner was very responsive to the one question we had. Would definitely book again.”

“The tranquility and peacefulness was just what we were looking for. We have already inquired about the other cabins and dates available. We will definitely book again! We hated to leave! 10 out of 10 stars!”

“The views of the Shenandoah River were incredible! Good A/C (especially in 90F) and nicely maintained home. Have to put your own linens on but no big deal. The hike down to the river for fishing can be tricky, and there's not much room to stand down there. We ended up wading in. ”

“My bf and I booked a weekend trip to visit the Luray caverns and area. We LOVED our stay at this cozy cabin. It was surrounded by beautiful nature and had so many amenities inside. Loved that they have a ton of board games, darts, foosball, TVs etc. The hosts, Kyle and Sherae were very responsive and the check in and check out processes were super easy. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat!”

“We really enjoyed staying in this cozy house in the woods. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking or kayaking the Shenandoah. We had a campfire and used the hottub daily. Plenty of room for each of us to have our own space, but cozy enough for gamenights, too! ”

“We loved the place. Just us, the deer, bunnies and giant pool. Wife's first words entering the rental, were 'how cute'. It is small but comfy, nice decor and a great host. Takes a bit to get there, IMHO you will need AWD at a minimum and something pretty capable in rough weather. However, your reward is an ideal getaway with river, pool and hottub. Would we stay again, absolutely. Would we suggest it to our friends, absolutely. If work and stress is wearing you down, take a trip down to……

“We stayed for a long weekend following Christmas - needed to get away from the city for a bit. It's a beautiful house with a great view and good location. It was just 3 of us so the space was fine -- I am not sure I would recommend it for a larger group in winter, as you'd really be on top of each other. For the other three seasons, the deck, hot-tub, and firepit would all be great ways to spread out. Would definitely love to go back sometime in the future!”

Cabin is well stocked with supplies for you to cook out all day if that’s what you choose. We loved fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, tubing, and exploring the area. You can tell the hosts put a lot of effort into the cabin and want their guests to have a good time. If we come back this way to Virginia, we will be back. ”
