I was told basically that theres nothing they could do and that there were no other rooms to move me to until the day before i check out. "We enjoyed our trip to this tranquil lake for a New Year getaway. The property is a great location in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. We enjoyed fishing, campfires and playing ping pong. The views of the sunset are spectacular.We also found a great lakeside restaurant and enjoyed walks at Lake Livingston State Park. So much to do outdoors The kitchen was abundant stocked with everything you need to do some serious cooking should you choose. Missing everyday spices and cooking oils however....

"Sketchy checking in, no one is ever at the front they leave a list of numbers to text for help, it’s like someone living there managing the place with babies and kids everywhere. Room was already booked so they had to give us a different room with less features. They do not clean your room multiple night stays, they don’t issue more towels, I’m a big girl and we were denied. The room smelled strongly of some kind of fume smell there were bugs on the floor and they also say you have to supply...

"Ac was making a loud growling noise. We didn't check in until 1145 pm and left at 5 am. I spilt water and got a towel to clean it up before leaving. The towel was so dirty. I got home and washed everything! Sad you have to stay in places like this if you travel with an animal. But it served its purpose I guess. Only thing that was 5 star was the lady up front."

"This house is in a great location with a beautiful view of the lake. The pool was relatively clean with clear water and clean bottom of the pool with some leaves and grass which wasn’t unexpected due to yard work happening the day we checked in. The deck is large and great for a group. The outdoor furniture is unfortunately in terrible condition with holes in it and dirty. There’s no extra blankets in the house so make sure to bring your own. There was also quite a bit of wasp and hornet activity on the porch with the entry door and around the pool deck. This house needs just a little extra TLC and it would be perfect. The neighbors were quiet and the beds were very comfortable."

"THE BEST VRBO WE HAVE EVER RENTED — Honestly!This rental experience was so uniquely superior to any other VRBO experience we have ever had that I almost don’t know where to start. The host, Stephen, is EXCEPTIONAL. Communication was fast, frequent, and full of relevant information. He sent a two-page document ahead of time that answered every question we could think of. Once we walked in the door, there wasn’t a single question we didn’t already have the answer to.The house was perfectly set up for the exact vacation we were looking for: a quiet place to be together as a family and have some FUN. The kids spent hours on the rope swings. We went on a kayak picnic. We played games in the garage every night — ping-pong, basketball, air hockey, pool, and even a retro arcade game machine that let us show the kids what video games were like back in the day. They played Donkey Kong and Frogger for hours.My husband and I used the racquets to play tennis in the mornings while the kids hung out in their spacious double bunk bed rooms and snuck gumballs out of the huge gumball machine when we weren’t looking.The house was stocked with everything, and the little touches made a huge difference: K-Cups, a welcome basket with s’mores, and condiments and spices already there.The Lake Livingston House is a new summer tradition for us. It is truly a place where memories are made!"
