A wonderland of lights, sausages, sizzling pad thai, the need to quench thirst, sticky skin, tingling insect repellent, heaps of Thai folk marching in masses, strange opulence, ridiculously ornate costumes, funny pants with theatrical and musical performances at every turn marked our arrival to Thailand. A 14 hr flight, 45 min metro, 3 hr train ride was no big thing compared to the King Narai the Great festival in Lopburi.

Popular cities in Lop Buri Province

I stumbled, completely by accident, upon a Chinese festival hosted in Lopburi in Thailand. There were lots of these red streamers that turned out to be thousands of firecrackers, and tables full of offerings to a dragon that danced around the town. It was tremendous! #culture
