"The house itself is nice, with a great view, but the overall experience fell short.The neighborhood was not appealing and didn’t feel very comfortable and safe. The home was fairly clean, though it seemed like it hadn’t been occupied for a while—which may be understandable since we booked last minute.Inside the house, the atmosphere felt somewhat unwelcoming. There were numerous stickers and signs throughout with “do not” instructions, and the house manual contained many warnings about potential charges for various issues. It created a sense of tension rather than relaxation.The outdoor patio furniture was in poor condition and could use attention. The furniture in the house, I would call average at the most. The host requiring either a 1,500 deposit or the purchase of additional insurance at our own expense. Additionally, a week after our stay was completed, the host requested an extra fee that was not included in the original booking. We followed all checkout instructions carefully (long list of chores…) and did not cause any damage.Overall, while the property has some positives, the experience did not meet expectations, and I would not recommend staying here. "

"If you are planning to stay here make sure you ask about the water level in the cove BEOFRE you book. It rises and falls dramatically and when we arrived the cove was a complete mud pit which was our view from the property, and we were unable to take out any of the water toys as promised/expected. I had asked the property manager about the cove access BEFORE we arrived and she told me the water level was "too low to jump into" but she never said it was completely dried up and a mud pit. On my subsequent call to the owner that evening, she defended the issue saying it was out of her control, but she also admitted that she knew the cove was empty from a recent stay and tried to tell me that rising/falling water level information was in the online listing somewhere, but it was not included in their listing or check in materials anywhere at the time (perhaps they have updated the listing now due to this issue). Further, the condition of the property, dock/outdoor area, and furniture is far from what is shown in the photos which must be at least 10 years old. The dock was full of bugs and cobwebs, the carpet in the house was matty and dirty, there were bugs everywhere inside due to the mud pit (moths & mosquitos - show in my my photos), the hot tub had a terrible odor and the water was cloudy, there was water pooling on the floor of the game room (shown in my photos), etc. The listing photos are "accurate" from when the property was in great condition, but not anymore!"

"The property was clean but obviously an older property with dated furnishings and carpet. Only one of the lamps was plugged in and wall outlet was hard to get to. Our key card did not work and had to go to the desk and get another. The replacement card only worked once when wife went to get something from car. When returning to the room after breakfast, the replacement card did not work a second time. Lucky there was a repairman on the floor who let us back into our room."
