Watch the sun set beyond downtown Marfa from a historic adobe home on the hill. Art-filled rooms, a private porch and landscaped grounds make this a distinctive place to slow down between gallery visits. Sleeps up to six, with two main-level bedrooms and a separate downstairs cave room reached from outside.
THE HOUSE Hill House brings together historic adobe architecture, Robert's art and landscape design, and views across downtown Marfa toward the mountains and sunset. Enjoy the view from the private porch and from inside the house.
Cook in the full kitchen, gather around the kiva fireplace, or enjoy the landscaped grounds. Heating, air conditioning, reliable Wi-Fi, a washer and a dryer are available.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Main-level bedroom: one queen bed. Second main-level bedroom: two twin beds. Downstairs cave room: bunk beds with two sleeping places. This room has a separate entrance reached by going outside; there is no interior connection to the main-level bedrooms.
The cave room often works well for older children or teenagers, but may not suit adults seeking a conventional bedroom or families who want younger children close by.
The full bathroom is upstairs in the main house, and the half bath is downstairs in the cave room. Cave-room guests go outside to reach the main house and its full bathroom. Hill House also has an outdoor shower.
PRIVATE AND SHARED SPACES You have exclusive use of Hill House, its bedrooms and private porch. The Canteen is a separate rental on the property and may host other guests during your stay. Only the large yard and its seating and grilling area are shared.
Both rentals can be booked together, subject to availability, for exclusive use of the property. Please inquire about availability for both spaces before booking.
Please treat the house, artwork, furnishings and grounds with care. Damage to the property, fixtures, furnishings, artwork, decor or linens may result in additional charges.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Marfa's 7% local lodging tax is collected by Vrbo during booking.
