"This studio space plus the backyard and the accessible roadway make this an excellent spot for a solo stay or for up to 2 people. Clean, modern, very well-appointed and complete with all the kitchen amenities I needed. The extra touches for comfort like blankets, books, puzzles and a big screen tv made for great variety. I loved sitting out by the water in a comfy chair with the provided big blankets. The host was responsive and friendly. Would absolutely stay here again. "

"This could not have been more perfect for our impromptu visit to the Hudson Valley. Close to the little shops in Rhinebeck and close to sightseeing in Hyde Park. Loved the church, it was seriously quaint (too many little things about it to mention here) The very small but adorable kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with almost every kitchen gadget you'd need. Glen, our host, gave us quick responses to our pre-stay questions, and the one time we needed him during our 3 night stay, (because I accidently turned off the geothermal system - don't touch the red plate switch Anne Marie!!!) he picked up the phone immediately and had the heat back on quickly. Our favorite thing, upon leaving one of the taverns in the area, was to say "sorry, we've got to get back to church." "

"The location of this home was absolutely beautiful! It provided the perfect getaway spot for a couple to see explore the Hudson Valley from a central location…that is if you ever want to leave the back deck that overlooks the Hudson river. My husband and I swung for hours on the bed swing having coffee in the morning while watching the leaves fall around us and we wound down at night sitting by the fire pit.On top of the fact that Shannon keeps this home in immaculate condition and provided necessary toiletries, was welcoming, courteous, and let us know she was available if there was anything we needed during our stay. Parking was easy, the bed and sofa were comfortable, and there was plenty of room to unwind.My husband and I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"We loved our stay at Jewel House during the New York Sheep and Wool Festival. The kitchen is well equipped with major appliances (two dishwashers, two cooktops, two refrigerators), a large island for setting out food, and it is easy to gather around the island for snacking. We loved sitting in the gathering room with a fire, chatting and knitting. We also appreciated a dining room table that more than accommodated our group of twelve. At the recommendation of Alexandra, we worked with Chef Lydia Hodges for two wonderful dinners. Our hosts responded promptly to questions. They also provided suggestions for what to do in the area. It is a wonderful property for a large group."
