We felt like we were home. Very comfortable, so many nice touches and things provided. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to make our visit a good one.
We loved this cabin! So homey and cute. I felt comfortable and had everything I needed for a week away with my husband. Loved that there were still Christmas decorations up!
This beautifully decorated cabin was so nice and Dawn has special touches for her guest everywhere. She welcomed my dog and had treats for him. She is a true gem and we look forward to returning!
Very well maintained warm, homey property nestled mountainside. There is more than sufficient separation of this property from surrounding properties leaving you with the feeling that you have the area to yourself. A cozy seat in the porch enabled the ability to get close to the nature around you. The property was nicely stocked with coffee, skewers for marshmallow roasting and other supplies that made the stay very easy.
Loved all in one ( Living, Dining and Kitchen) space
Quiet and relaxing home to stay!
However, there are a couple of things to be improved or fixed as follows.
1. Key to the main entrance
2. Blinds facing the back porch
3. Bedside lamp in the single beds room
4. Missing inner bowl of the conventional coffee maker (Kcup coffee maker is working fine.)
Thank you, Dawn, to take note of these, and we are looking forward to return to your property again!
We had a great time on our trip to the mountains! Our host was very responsive to a few questions we had, and added several sweet personal touches to our stay that made the house cozy and welcoming, especially for my kids. We hiked the Catawba Trail, spent some time in nearby Black Mountain, and made s'mores by the firepit. It was a great weekend getaway for a family.
This property was a perfect fit for our extended family. It was cute cozy and comfortable for the 6 of us. We enjoyed the peace, quiet and beautiful view!
Dawn was a great hostess.
Left us firewood and the items to make s’mores!
The house was incredibly clean and decorated so nicely!!
Highly recommend visiting!
Excellent little getaway from the hustle and bustle. The host is very attentive to make sure you have everything you need. Easy drive to Black Mountain. Not too far from Asheville.
Dawn was so wonderful even leaving little gifts for our 8 month old. She was in constant communication offering to help in anyway. We love all the fall decor and can’t wait to come back to see this amazing place at Christmas!
Wonderful property with great host! Just a heads up to read the amenities list carefully - the host provides one roll of TP per bathroom (2) so if you’re staying with other people for more than a few days, you’ll need to pick that up. Also, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in one bathroom only.
The owner, Dawn, responded quickly and added many personal touches to her property which made it more special than just anywhere. Since it was during the holidays, we arrived to a lit Christmas tree, the heat turned on, and electric candles on. It was most inviting. There was plenty of room with comfortable furniture. Nice to have a firepit as well! Would definitely stay here again!
Dawn was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating even when I asked her about being able to bring our dog. When we arrived, there was even a dog bed, bowl, treats, and a toy! I would have loved to have stayed more than one night, as the cabin felt so cozy and had everything you could possibly need. It was about a 30 minute drive to Asheville, but an easy route from the cabin. Will definitely be staying again! Thanks so much Dawn.
There aren't enough words to describe how great this experience was. The house was very clean and cozy. We stayed with our 4 young daughters, they loved the play sets outside, space to run around, and the little gifts Dawn left them.
We ran into a travel snag with our dog the day before leaving and Dawn was more than helpful. It really felt like she cared about how our trip went, which I've never experienced before after staying in lots of rentals.
My main concern for the trip was location. We were meeting friends at Lake Lure, but they were staying in LL. The drive was an easy 25 min to the beach, but the next day we got to asheville in the same amount of time. The location was great, and gave us access to lots of places!
Overall if I could give Dawn 10/5 stars I would. We will definitely stay again!
We arrived to a lovely gift basket with s'more makings, tea, coffee, cocoa, and a lovely anniversary card. So thoughtful.
The place is immaculately clean and the outside table is where we spent alot of time when we weren't out sightseeing. So peaceful and only forest sounds, except:
One evening we heard 2 neighbors yelling to each other for about 30 minutes (he was putting up outside lights, and something going on with Debbie had them pretty excited) so we went in. Came back out later and it was quiet. Ahhh...the quiet. That was the only time we didn't really feel secluded though. Great anniversary and bed was so comfy I slept through the night without my Craftmatic! That's a first!
Highly recommend and we WILL return.
Note: the driveway is narrow and gravel. Once we had to go up it in the rain and slipped around a tad. There are ruts to navigate too. But after once in and out it was easier. Just be aware, especially if you have an SUV. It was narrow in my Elantra. But not a problem as the house was worth it!777
My family and I loved it! Cozy cabin for a quick weekend getaway with the family. We felt so cozy and welcomed, it felt like we were visiting family. <3
