“This place is FANTASTIC!! It's quiet, peaceful, and has incredible views of the mountains. Don't let the drive up intimidate you because it is worth it!! The hosts are so nice and have paid attention to all the details that made staying here special, from the automatic nightlight in the bathroom to the games in the living area. I have now convinced myself I need a small cabin tucked high in the woods because I didn't want to leave. Black Mountain and Montreat are small towns with so much charm……

“We loved how secluded this cabin felt the moment we arrived. You hear the stream and the birds instead of traffic, and it really does feel tucked away in the woods. At the same time, Rumbling Bald was only about 15 minutes away, so we had easy access to the resort when we wanted it without giving up the peace.Mornings were our favorite. My wife and I sat with coffee listening to the creek and the birds—it was exactly the quiet start to the day we were hoping for. In the evenings we headed down……

“LOVED the cabin and the property! It was super clean and our screened in porch was perfect sitting out in the evening and drinking our morning coffee. The drive was a little intimidating at first but so worth the drive up the mountain!! What a view!”

“Five stars for this beautiful and cozy cabin which is just as described. Plenty of space for 7 adults with comfy common areas to socialize and 4 nice bedrooms & bathrooms for privacy. Kitchen was clean and very well stocked. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery from the hot tub and the fire table on the back porch after a long hiking day. “Good house for large group. Description not entirely accurate. The Swanannoa grocery store is closed so be prepared to shop the next town over. Upstairs and downstairs fridges don’t make ice so you need to buy your own. No coffee pods available in either kitchen nor was there “plenty “ of wood stacked for an outdoor fire. Remotes for both indoor fireplaces were not available…nowhere to be found after a thorough search. I messaged the host and got no reply as to why they weren’t available for……

“Fully furnished kitchen with good quality cookware (no Teflon), close to grocery store, Lake Lure, and a lovely private backyard and screened-in porch. Every detail from closet hangers, luggage rack, beach towels, and toiletries were provided. One of the best places I've every stayed!”
