The walk to the main square is reasonably straight forward. The breakfast is good. However we had some significant issues. We had a very beautiful room but the air conditioning was not working. This was important because it was extremely hot outside. We were there for three days and complained every day but the ac was not repaired. The owner came to our room and checked it and said it would be fixed but nothing happened. We knew it wasn't working because our daughter had a room on her own that was very cool. The other problem was our arrival. We were driving and needed to park outside the walled city. We were told someone would meet us at the wall entrance and tell us where to park and where to go. We were not warned that there were hustlers who would try and get us to go elsewhere and drive into the Riad and demand money from us. There was quite a bit of ugliness involved with this. Later on, someone came to pick us up for a food tour and it turned out he was a hustler too who had overheard a phone call. He supposedly took us to the car and then demanded money--but he had nothing to do with the cooking class. The Riad staff should be checking and warning its guests about these people. Fatima was a gem and her family was as well. Breakfast was great everyday and this Riad in Marrakech helped make the trip an even better one. The riad is in the old part of Marrakech which, in our opinion had more cons than pros. We would definitely suggest staying in a more popular/new area. The riad entrance looks like a residential door and you can often knock for a very long time to gain entry back into the riad. As the area itself didn't feel particularly safe, they could most definitely work on this issue; especially during evening/night. This is because we're not sure if this is an issue everywhere, but we found groups of men lingering outside shouting abuse and generally harassing us everyday. The owner herself was very nice, helpful and hospitable. The room was clean however the ground floor room can get very humid despite the AC. Wir haben in diesem von einer Familie geführten Riad sechs Nächte verbracht. Wir haben uns in dieser Zeit sicher und wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und die Sauberkeit auf hohem Niveau. Von der Begrüssung, über die Bedienung und die Beratung hat uns Fatima gut und mit Leidenschaft betreut - besser geht es nicht. Sie hat für glutenfreies Essen gesorgt - sowohl beim sehr feinen und grosszügigen Frühstück als auch beim Essen am Silvesterabend - herzlichen Dank Fatima! Das Riad ist sehr schön und authentisch eingerichtet. Das Mobiliar und das Gebäude sind gepflegt. Das High-Light ist bestimmt die wunderschöne Dachterrassse die durch das Mobiliar und die Aussicht zum Verweilen einlädt. HIer oben ist es auch schön warm - dies im Gegensatz zum Riad selber. Die Zimmer kann man heizen, auf den Gängen und im Essbereich ist jedoch so kalt, dass man ohne warme Kleidung friert. Wir mussten beim Frühstück unsere dicken Jacken tragen - das ist schade. Was ich auch erwähnen möchte ist, dass das Riad extrem ringhörig ist. Lange in die Nacht und ab 07 Uhr ist es für Menschen die nicht einfach einschlafen und tief schlafen schwierig gut zu schlafen. Man hört Gäste die ankommen und abreisen, man hört jedes Gespräch in der Lobby, jedes Aufschliessen von Türen und das Laufen von Wasser - Isolation? Fehlanzeige! WLAN langsam Die Lage des Hotels ist aus meiner ideal. Der Weg zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten führt durch ein traditionelles Quartier. The pools with rose petals floating in the water, the terrace, and the rooms all show the amount of work and care the owners put into the riad. The hotel is conveniently located close to one of the gates to the Medina, which made it easy to find. In addition to this, they actually sent a person to meet us at the gate and guide us to the Riad. Once we arrive, they provided us with a map of the Medina and with detailed information on how to navigate through it. This made our visit to the Medina much more enjoyable. Breakfast was good and the room was comfy and spacious. Run by the dearest family, who are all so helpful and kind. There is ample room to roam and lounge, and a very lovely pool and water features that soothe the weary soul. A true oasis in the midst of the chaos that is Marrakech. Each bedroom is decorated differently (stayed in two different rooms, by choice) and was impressed by both. Great beds, linens and towels, bath products, very spacious and very good a/c. What more could you ask for?!
