Disappointing
The property was not clean. Needs some major upgrades. The kitchen faucet leaks, the toilets were hard to flush...some rooms looked mid-renovation w/ spackling half done, etc. Board games were all mish-mash and missing pieces so impossible to play. The gym/pool membership that we were told was included is NOT included no matter how many times we were told it was, the actual gym says its not. If you have an issue and call Vacasa, they say they will pass the info on to the "local" property company who then never gets back to you.

Week stay in early June
Slightly outdated and NO AC which is our worst critique. If this was late July or August we would have been screwed. Beautiful area! Lots to do and good food just down the road. Condo hot tub not as private as we would have liked. Outside grill was nice to utilize along with the washer and dryer. Easy to get to and a nice walk down to the lake. Had everything we needed regarding towels/dishes/garbage bags/etc.

The furniture needs updating and perhaps you update the entire place. The walls need patching and painting. One of the dining room chairs is broken, the glass shower door in the 1st bedroom is broken and patio door doesn’t lock. The second door isn’t stable.

Nice Getaway
The house was very nice and clean and had a great view of both the lake and the mountain. The bed I had looking towards the mountain was ok but not the softest. My mom and niece and nephew said their beds were fine. Was a little disappointed when we got that that we couldn't get in, so I had to call the help line and they kept trying and finally gave me another code to get in the house. Also the extra Bed in the loft was gone so my nephew slept on the couch which he was ok with. Overall we had a wonderful time spending with Family and would definetly rent this house again :)

Location is good for Wisp but property leaves little to be desired
After a 4 hour drive the key code didn’t work. I called the 800# and the rep wasn’t very helpful. After about a half hour we finally got someone to help us. Front door knob hardly works, beds were so uncomfortable we had to sleep on the couch, sprayer didn't work in kitchen sink, the stove had one working burner, toilets ran constantly after being flushed, half of the lights didn't work, dishwasher door kept falling open. The condition of the property was probably one of the worst we've ever rented. The location was great for the kids to go skiing but I would never rent this particular unit again

Place to stay at the lake
Although we had a few hiccups with renting; the door code not working and the apparenly rushed cleaning, the rental co was quick to help rectify. The place has some issues but was cheaper than others ( welll minus the resort fees and taxes.) Location for getting around the lake was convenient but not as good for outdoorsy feel. It was okay.

Property was in bad need in side of cosmetic work. Lot of painting that needed done bare drywall walls patched with drywall compound paint comming off of walls in master bathroom ceiling had some paint missing. Not to bad for what we paid just not what we are use to.

DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY
I rented this unit for my family and in-laws and it was a disaster. The owners have left the unit unmaintained for so long everything is starting to break. The unit should not be on the market to rent. 1) A water line burst while we were there, and we were without water for about 12 hours 2) I spend about 2 to 3 hours on the phone and meeting/communicating with contractors and Vacasa to get the issue resolved (I missed 2 family events to deal with the issues) 3) Visible water damage is throughout the house and the basement smells musty/moldy 4) The house has old plastic water lines clearly needing to be replaced. This is the source of the water damage and the cause of the burst water line. 5) The pullout in the basement was broken and would no pullout, I spend some more time dealing with Vacasa to get this resolved as well. 6) The bed frame in the loft was broken and unusable 7) There was no bedding provided for the basement pullout bed and we needed to contact Vacasa about this as well. 8) The handles that open the windows are broken 9) The shower door in the hall 2nd floor bathroom has a broken wheel and is very difficult to open (my in-laws are older, and it was not very safe for them to force the door open) 10) The fridge cooling element drips water all over the top shelf of the fridge 11) Main sink in the kitchen leaks Other members of my family rented similar units in the complex that have been properly maintained and they were much nicer and they had no problems whatsoever.

Weekend getaway
We had a great stay and loved everything about the house and location. It was a perfect weekend getaway. The only complaint that we do have is when we returned home my daughter broke out in a rash. After seeing the Dr we learned it was caused by the hot tub. The condition is hot tub folliculitis. Not sure if the hot tub was not cleaned prior to our arrival or too many chemicals. We plan to still book again next Feb. Wonderful home and great views of the slopes!

Extremely convenient location. Very clean. Could use some TLC such as a coffee maker hinge was broken (we got the coffee to brew though) and spackling/ repainting needed. But overall perfectly located for families to trot back and froth for nap times to tubing and the slopes.

Beautiful November Weekend
My wife and I come to Deep Creek every other year. This visit was not the best, but definitely not the worst. Our check in was super easy and there wasn’t a need to talk to the owners. I will say the location during this visit was great, it was near the grocery store and many shops/restaurants. We did a lot of hiking so we were barely at the house. We were mostly just there in the evenings. I think the cleanliness could have been better and it could certainly use a little updating. For instance, I grilled steaks one night and there was a rusted fish hook on the grill with the string still attached. When I went to throw this away, there was a trash can by the hot tub filled with a tarp and beer cans. I did look at the hot tub and noticed it was pretty cloudy and saw some hair floating in it, but didn’t really plan on going in. The biggest disappointment was the bed. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. The bamboo pillows were nice, but the bed itself made it difficult to get any sleep even after long days of hiking. Other than that, great location, quiet and very dog friendly.

4:00 check in seemed late for check in time. Property could use a few updates regarding doors & handrails. Poor operating sliding doors. Real downfall was being woken at 8 am by painters on personal deck making it unusable for entire day and lots of banging causing disruption.

Good for a short stay
The property was clean aside from some dust on some fans, and equipped with everything needed in the kitchen as well as a few supplies, and check in was easy. We booked about 3 weeks in advance of our 3 day trip. We were in need of a place to stay so we could visit our grandfather who recently had major surgery and was now in a nursing home. A few days after booking I learned through someone else there usually isn’t AC in the townhomes in that area. I was surprised because I didn’t see anything in the description about there NOT being AC. Usually in other properties I’ve rented AC is such a standard thing that it is listed in the property description in the rare case it is not available. Since it was only a couple days after I reserved the trip I asked VACASA if I could change properties. They said yes, but I’d have to pay in full for the one I reserved. Their responses were given in writing only and felt like they were pre-written, and not personal. We wondered if we were even talking to real people. Each message was signed by a different name. That initial experience was poor and they showed really poor customer service, in essentially burying the lack of AC on their listing. That experience clouded our trip, and yes it was uncomfortably hot in the bedrooms. The beds were also rather uncomfortable. And the shades were see through in the bedrooms resulting in bright sunlight shining in the rooms around 5:30/6:00 each morning, waking us up. We left the windows open to help with the heat, but the dust on the fans and allergens from outside resulted in some people in our party feeling ill in a place we were stuck with. We will be weary of VACASA as well as this property and their lack of empathy and flexibility in the future. This is the first time I’ve had a negative experience with a property on home away. Usually the descriptions are clear and the customer service is excellent. This was not the case this round.

Such a wonderful location!!
We loved our time in this rental. It’s right across the street from Wisp...just walk across the street! No fussing with parking! The house was well equipped with plenty of dishes and cookware. All the basics (t.p., dish soap, etc.) were available. Home was clean and had plenty of space for our two families. Nice big table and plenty of seating in the living area for everyone. Nice selection of games for the kids too. We can’t wait to stay here again next year! Couple of things to note: the bedding is a bit on the skimpy side, you may want to supplement with an extra blanket or two. If you hear a tapping/banging sound it seems that just the pipes coming from the hall bathroom. It wasn’t bothersome (once we knew it wasn’t a ghost! Haha!). The smoke detector is crazy sensitive!! It’s right above the sink/stove area and went off just about everytime we opened the oven or used the toaster or cooked on the stove top...without any visible smoke. We were able to get it to stop just by fanning a towel at it, but it was a bit annoying. We had an issue with the key code on the 2nd day but a quick call got us a new code easily. One tip...the lock box code (for the hot tub key) wasn’t anywhere to be found. You might want to consider jotting that down for convenience. Oh and finally a binder with local places to eat (with current menus) and things to do would be awesome!
