Tiny Home above Waterfall w/ Hot Tub - The Whimsical Waterfall Cottage

The Place:
Whimsical, eclectic tiny home nestled above the waterfall at Blueberry Falls Farm, a u-pick blueberry farm in Mentone, AL. Soak in the hot tub while enjoying the views of the waterfall and creek. Roast marshmallows in the porch's wood burning fireplace while watching a movie or catching tonights big game.

A short walk away, there is an overlook bridge and roof top deck to enjoy views of the waterfall and pond as well as a game room below with foosball, crafts, and playstation.

The Space:
Escape to a whimsy cottage above a waterfall and creek with several amenities for kids, pets, and adults to enjoy. The Whimsical Waterfall Cottage has a queen bed on the main floor and two full beds in the loft (the loft is not a walkable space, about 4ft high). The porch has a hot tub available for a $50 fee, a wood burning fireplace, an outdoor TV above the fireplace, charcoal grill, and serene water views. Hammocks and outdoor games are also available for your enjoyment.

A short walk away there is a community space with an overlook bridge and roof top deck to enjoy views of the waterfall, Blueberry Falls, and pond as well as a game room, The Creek House Lounge, below with foosball, crafts, and playstation. A bathhouse with two showers and two bathrooms are also available for guest to use during their stay.

During blueberry season (Late June to Early/Mid-August), guest are welcome to pick blueberries to enjoy with breakfast or to take home. If you are booking in July, please be aware that we have our annual blueberry festival the second weekend of July and most weekends we will be open for our u-pick blueberry events.

Other Details to Note:
*The hot tub is available for an additional $50. Please indicate if you would like to add this feature to your reservation so we can unlock it for you upon arrival.
*You can bring your pets for an additional pet fee. They must be included in the reservation and we must be notified prior to your arrival.
*There are two other tiny homes on the property. They are both for rent as well.
*Blueberry Season is from mid-June to late August. During this time, we will have the blueberry bushes open to the public for our U-pick season. The houses are separate from the bushes but please be aware of this if you are coming during blueberry season.
*During the Spring, Summer, and Fall I will be doing landscaping on Thursday morning/afternoon. This includes mowing, weed eating, and blowing around the houses.
*PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS AN ACTIVE FARM. I work at the property myself most days. I bring our dog Maggie when I come to work. She is friendly but will bark at cars. I assure you though, she will not harm you in any way. If it ever is a problem, I am always glad to keep her inside with me.

Pleasant house in beautiful setting
We enjoyed our stay in a pretty wooded setting. The house is decorated creatively and cheerfully. The covered porch is very comfortable. A glitch upon arrival was not being provided a code to open the property’s gate, which seems newly installed. We were surprised that loft has a low ceiling (3-4 ft.?). Great for children but not ideal for our 6’ tall friends that shared the house with us. The photos do show the loft, but we somehow didn’t notice the ceiling height. Adding this note to the description would be helpful. We and the friends that stayed there with us are all dog-lovers. Our even brought their dog. However, someone else’s dog barked non-stop for many hours, for a couple of days. That grew tiresome. We were glad when the dog finally came and sat with us on the porch and stopped barking. Overall the place is lovely.

Don't pass this one by
If you like being out of crowded places and love nature this is the place for you. We are outside people and loved staying here. We enjoyed the porch with the fireplace so much we had a hard time leaving. Listening to the night sounds and watching lightening bugs was relaxing. Having a fire in the fireplace was so relaxing. And there are firepits on the property. Although we didn't use the grill it was available. We were blessed to see two baby bluebirds leave their nest and see baby rabbits in the driveway. Our last night the moon was almost full and smiling down on the whole area. Slept like babies at night and generally had a relaxing vacation away. We ighly reccoment this spot.

Beautiful & serene
The Bungalow at Blueberry Falls is a beautiful,tiny house design,with lots of thought put into the amenities ,esthetics and is on a beautiful farm. The creek and waterfall right behind it were lovely to look at and listen to from the comfy outdoor sitting area. We would definitely recommend it to others! We took our 2 dogs along and they were welcomed too. They had a great time playing with the owners dogs,and there were even treats for them in the house. That is a nice touch!

We had an amazing stay in Mentone, AL at the Blueberry Bungalow. We met the hosts and their 2 dogs, all very friendly and easy going. Our dogs had a blast, playing with new friends, exploring the stream behind the cabin, and roaming the property. The best part was, we had no cell service being high up in the mountain, which is exactly what we wanted!

We love the property and the fact that you could take fresh blueberries was amazing the only thing that I disliked was all the construction it would’ve been nice to know that I know it’s fairly new and it’s going to be amazing when it’s done but kind of look frumpy to me with all that construction laying around and was kind of disappointed that the creek which is why I picked that place really in the blueberries was all dried up and that may have been the season but that would’ve been nice to notify me on your listing because I may have went a different direction because me and my wife love water and we get there and it’s all dried up house was amazing blueberries were amazing again just to construction out front it’ll be amazing when you guys get it done otherwise we love to stay look forward to see what it looks like in the future

Great experience start to finish. The owners were communicative and very helpful. The bungalow was very clean and had all of the perks to make it an easy and comfortable stay. The nearby town of Mentone was a fun place to walk through shops and the art center. Strongly recommend for a quiet getaway and refreshing break from the hectic day-to-day.

There is no creek….
The description and pics are misleading. There is no water in the creek at all. That was one of the main reasons I picked this place. There was also another tiny house right next door so there would have been NO privacy, luckily no one was there while we were. In the pics on the site looks like there is no one else around. They were doing some construction building other homes and they started at 7am.. not really the way I wanted to wake up on vacation. The tiny house itself was clean and nice.
