The Inn was super clean, the suite was amazing with views of the ocean from the spacious deck and room. We loved the color scheme and vaulted ceilings, bed was comfy. Our 2nd floor king suite was spacious, pretty decor, very comfortable bedding, a nice seating area, and a big deck with ocean view. Highway 1traffic noise is quite loud if you're out on the deck during the day, but quiet at night. My only complaint with the room was the ceramic bowl sink in the bathroom is poorly designed and too high for washing your face or brushing teeth, and the weird trough faucet splashes all over as soon as you turn it on. Plus the drain was clogged up so it turned into a giant bowl of gray water. The room itself was okay, aside from traffic noise (pack your sound machine or white noise app). Very cute room set up. Staff was friendly. New taqueria next door was delish. Bakery also located next door along with a gas station with well stocked convenience item. Not a lot of parking available but did discover more parking along the backside of the inn. Definitely ask staff if you’re having a hard time. I had planned to check in around 9:30 after dinner in downtown San Francisco. However, I received a call at 7:10 from the front desk asking that I arrive by 8\. The staff member offered to stay until 8:30 as a courtesy, which I appreciated, but it caused us to cancel our dinner reservation, grab fast food and rush to the inn. I arrived at 8:35 and was told she simply wanted to leave early since it was a slow night—despite check-in being available until 10\. The room itself was clean, but it was quite cold and I couldn’t adjust the temperature. The property is also along a fairly loud road. Gorgeous decor, very large, dinette and couch and chairs, balcony too! It was in the back so not much of a view. Walls were a little thin. Our neighbors were up talking most of the night and we could hear them enough to keep waking us up. The Inn is a little old so a little creaky on the floors. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for the one night we were there. This issue was not mentioned on the Expedia hotel info. The pictures of the beach access lead us to believe that access was very easy and directly from the facility, even though the comments said it was "nearby". It was across Hwy.1 and there were oceanfront homes between the facility and the ocean. A gas station/convenience store was directly next to the facility. The room was clean and updated and there was even a hotel kitty hanging out in the front to pet in the morning. Only issue was that the salt air made the windows/slider screen hard to open and close.
