Palace in the middle of Nowhere

We had a little trouble with language when booking in, but further than that it was great. Just when you think you are lost you turn into the vineyard with the biggest house I have been in. The bed is huge and very comfortable. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom stunning. Breakfast included a yogurt and lots of baked goods with juice and coffee. I would just suggest some music in the dining area. The staff are very friendly and the owner invited us to walk through the vineyard and gave us lovely grapes to take with us. Very nice experience!

Stedet lever ikke op til det søgte - vingård. Der er ikke mulighed for vin-rundtur eller vinsmagning. Der står, at der restaurant, men denne er lukket. Morgenmaden er kedelig og vi måtte spørge til det mest almindelige som smør, te og yogurt. Personalet kan intet engelsk - dermed flere misforståelser, bla. Omkring middag i restauranten - receptionisten har forstået morgenmad - selvom vi forsøgte med en oversættelses - app. Det betød flere ture til den lokale by - ca. 15 min. Væk. Alt i alt bør dette hotel ikke modtage gæster udenfor sæson.

Could have been so much better.

Looks great and the bed comfortable but...... Poor quality room listed as a junior suite. Cobwebs. Green Beetles. No drawer space, although it did have a dining table and two chairs. Wonky IKEA cupboard. And this was the second room offered, the initial was even more dire. Then the chef want the kitchen ventilator run, unfortunately this runs within the wall of the bedroom. The whole wall vibrates and the noise level is that of a helicopter on the roof. Major design flaw. Heating failed second night, receptionist returned with a heater that had a repair to the flex bound with tape and a plug that overheated to the point of not being able the touch it. No one turned up to fix heater until after we left. 3 day stay. Attitude problem in dining room. Maitre’d couldn’t understand our requirement for a single course as we had eaten well earlier in the day. Hence we received sarcasm the following night from same gentleman. Without the maitre’d present the rest of the staff couldn’t be more helpful! I.e at breakfast. Food just slightly better than average, pushing the local aspect. Good wine. Noted first night reception selling upgrades to others, however these were unavailable with the problems of our room. Spa could have been the saving grace, just ensure you get the first possible session with the wine spa. You’ll understand.... Hotel stay is summed up by the picture of the earth from space positioned on the starry ceiling of the spa. It’s back to front!

Exceptional value. A luxurious accommodation at a bargain price. Serene countryside location. Beautiful grounds amidst vineyards and gardens. Lovely breakfast. Staff were gracious and helpful. We would stay there again if ever back this way. Total 5 out of 5 rating.

Ottimo panorama e aria pulita

Siamo stati in questa struttura io e mio marito per 2 notti. La stanza è grande, molto illuminata con finestra e balcone, pulita, con letto comodo e arredata nei particolari. Il bagno è dotato di finestra e doccia grande. Parcheggio gratuito, colazione nella norma, staff cortese e pronto ad assecondare ogni nostra richiesta.

Really enjoyed our stay

Our stay at the Tenuta Ippocrate was truly excellent. Great rooms, very nice and helpful staff and great service. Only thing we really missed was a swimming pool. There is a spa with jacuzzi, but no pool for actually swimming. We were really surprised by a receptionist arranging for breakfast in our room. This is a type of service we have rarely seen. Great!

Villa-like place between vines and villages

In the middle of an industrial area and small villages this place stands out. It was quiet and quaint, I loved the art. The decor was modern art with a twist and old flare. Clean and modern. Awesome organic food and great service! Personelle always willing to please. They have very good local products, quality and natural. The only thing is that you need a car to get there, and it’s far from the coast, not much to do but small villages, but we found that interesting too. Overall we felt like a royal family, so thank you to the personelle, great service.

Una bella villa ai piedi di Montevergine

La tenuta posizionata ai piedi di montevergine è molto bella da vedere anche grazie alle colline intorno che venivano coltivate a vite. Non è stato semplice trovarla anchè perchè il GPS ci mandava in un altra direzione. La notte del soggiorno era stata organizzata una festa e quindi c'era la musica fino a notte tarda. Ma di questo ci avevano avvisato. Un voto complessivo al soggiorno... vorrei dare un 3 su 5.

Soggiorno nel verde

Il posto è molto particolare, sicuramente molto eccentrico. La location è fantastica e gode di uno splendido panorama. Nonostante la prenotazione all’ultimo secondo, siamo stati sistemati in una stanza molto grande e silenziosa. Abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato la colazione con assaggi di torte della casa e premuta di arancia fresca sul grande terrazzo soleggiato. Personale molto gentile e pulizia della stanza ottima (gradita la doccia cromoterapica nella stanza) La struttura ha anche una spa che purtroppo non abbiamo avuto il tempo di utilizzare.
