9.6/10 Exceptional! (233 reviews)
We were supposed to stay for 3 nights at the hotel in August, but we ended up reducing these to 2 as the room was poorly isolated, so we decided to leave early. There was loud music coming from outside (not sure if from the rooftop bar or from the street) and an alarm that would be going off every now and then. The rooftop is open to the public so a lot of non-guests go there. At the hotel they told us that it would close at 10pm, but one night we went past 10:15pm and it was still fully open with people hanging out.
They rank this hotel as a 4-star but I would say it is more a 3. The bathroom is tiny so the toilet sink is placed within the room, which doesn't really show in many of the first pictures. Not sure how other hotels in Arequipa are, but considering this one is significantly more pricey than others we would have expected a much better experience.
Also, an hour before leaving, I requested at reception to arrange a taxi. When we came down to reception, the receptionist had still not arranged the transport. Ultimately, a non-licensed taxi came (probably just a friend). The man had no space in the boot for the luggage so he had to tie them up on the top, which didn't really gave us a lot of security.
