The aircon didn’t work at arrival for all the rooms due to them using a small generator. However, very nice, clean, safe, manager addressed all our issues and concern. They switched to the big generator as soon as I complained within a few hours.

Functioning the aircon took some time, the extortionate fees for the food service was a put off. Breakfast in the morning was stipulated at $30\person and was quite a shock. Non of their menus have prices, and forces customers to pay that fee. Eating there for a day could result in more than $90/person per day, at the end of your stay, the amount you would pay for food would outweigh the price for the accommodation. There is mention of a swimming pool, adding value to their ranked system as an intercontinental hotel, however this was far from true, with many staff not being transparent about the fact that there is no swimming pool at this hotel, the area used to extend the rearaurant. We were informed that, the pool was out of service for winter, just to be made aware that there was no pool on our last day. The wifi was a problem as it was an unsecured network, and created issues with payment, where we had to get cash externally to pay for meals. The hotel was clean, though noise levels were quite high, with late night revellers akin to bar level as wel as the early mroning kitchen staff, with the banging and clattering waking one up quite early. The smell of the cooking food permeating into the room. Staff were pleasant and friendly, however they equally did not have the knowledge to forward valuable information about food pricing and were participants in accepting that $30\person was a reasonable price to be slapped with, without prior impression of pricing.

Ehdotettiin hierojalla käyntiä kylpylän sijasta. Hotellissa oli sauna, jota kokeilin. Sauna itsessään hyvä, mutta suihkut kuntosalin toisella puolella. Ei pukeutumispaikkaa, ei mahdollisuutta sulkea ovia, ei ripaa saunan ovessa sisäpuolella ym. Aamiainen hyvä, mutta kallis. Sauna unohdettiin lämmittää sopimuksista huolimatta. Mentyäni saunaan, se oli kylmä. Henkilökunta yritti selittää ja osa ymmärtäväisiä. Huone oli siisti ja mukava.

No privacy at all

The staff opened the door while I was in the room. The reception said that I had no tag of 'Do not disturb' on my door that's why. I was alone but what if you were with your girlfriend. It seems that the hotel no has feeling of sorry for this.

Central in Mutare

I only like to add to my review that my room was looking at the back of the hotel which looked far less inviting than the tree lined road and view in front. There also appeared to be a generator at work, at least as long as the restaurant was operating. But not too loud. Another blanket for cold nights might be nice. Otherwise it is functional hotel in the centre of town and the staff was very friendly.
