“The location was so nice. There were 15 cabins with parking right by the door. We had a nice private outdoor table. The pool and grounds were well maintained and beautiful.”

“The hotel is in a historic building with beautiful wood accents throughout. The staff are nice and try to be helpful. However, we were disappointed given the price we paid. Amenities include a restaurant on-site. While this is technically true, this is misleading since it is only open Thursday through Sunday in the high season. There is a small store across the street that has takeout sandwiches and burritos, but other food options require driving to another town. Our room had 4 hangers and no……

“BEAUTIFUL location and the studio was perfect for the two of us! The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, and the space was great! Highly recommend! Really cannot beat the location right on the ocean! One thing that does need improvement is access to the private beach. The stairs going down to it need renovation as they are challenging to navigate especially if you have a dog with any physical limitations.”

“The staff was great, and the view from our room and balcony were fantastic. Very nice sauna and ocean view spa tub. The hotel itself needs some maintenance and upgrades. The handle on the sliding glass door was broken and the door itself didn’t slide - it required force to open and close. Neither of the showerheads on the (probably once fancy) dual showerhead shower/bathtub combination worked properly. Also, the walls are embarrassingly thin. I learned things about the proclivities of my hotel……

“An amazing location with wildlife right on the doorstep. Our room (Apartment 1) had a great view with plenty of space and a useful kitchen area. The bed was very comfortable note; the bedroom view is to the side. The on-site cafe was excellent as was dining at the nearby Gyppo Ale Mill. Overall a great stay although the property is a little careworn and our balcony needed attention to the decking.”

“Very nice but very old hotel but that’s what you expect from a Victorian era hotel. Rooms are nice with large bath. TV is very small and you must climb a very steep and tall stairway to the second floor. Breakfast is hard boiled eggs and yogurt and breads. All in all was a very fun experience and very charming.”

“The check in process was awesome. The lady at the counter let us know about the access to a stream, chatted us about local fun things to do, and even helped us to know what to do at our next stop on our road trip. The pub was clean, had good food (try the giant pretzel with beer cheese!), and the bartender was extremely attentive. There are a lot of outdoor games as well. If you're not use to mosquitos-PREPARE! There are some mosquitos, especially in the evening.”
