The place is beautiful, very clean, and perfectly calm – ideal for relaxing. The breakfast was excellent, with great variety and quality. The host was incredibly welcoming and gave us plenty of helpful tips to explore the region, as well as great recommendations for good places to eat. Bonjour Madam Doris, Bonjour Monsieur Rudolf und wir schauen in strahlende Gesichter. Wir wählen zwischen französichem Käse, Melone, feinen Gebäck, Olivenmus und Trüffel zum obligatorischen Baguette und Croissant. O, lala. Die liebe Sonne scheint hier den ganzen Tag und der Himmel ist azurblau. Madam Doris liebt den großen Pool und Monsieur Rudolf schaut lächelnd zu. Zum Dinner haben wir: Alors, vous avez une petite salade un petit peu à l'esprit Grecs une salade grecque avec une côte de bœuf des petites pommes de terre de la truffe et après une salade de fruits et des glaces ...gewählt. Man trifft sich to Night auf dem Markt von Levens, sendet durch die klare Luft 2 Küsschen zu Madam und Monsieur und schwatzt endlos beim Wein und Dessert. Verschlossene Türen gibt es hier nicht. The grounds are beautiful, with views of the mountains that offer wonderful sunsets, a pool that is on the small side but comfortably heated and works well both to play and cool off in. There are sunbeds and seating areas, a ping pong table and a trampoline, all have seen better days but are useable. We stayed in the large suite which is cool despite it being hot out, clean and decorated with personal touches. The bed is comfortable and the sofa bed works well for the children. Moving on to the best parts of the hotel- the hosts are the kindest, most considerable people you could ever meet. They do all they can to make your experience the best possible, through recommending restaurants we would not have found ourselves, and cooking incredible breakfasts. The breakfasts are possibly the best we have ever had at a hotel, and we have travelled a lot. Everything is of the highest quality, most things made in house and presented as if it was artwork. The menu is different every day and the dishes just keep on coming. Bread, cheeses, fruit, juice, several cakes, pies, crumbles and egg dishes, all newly made in-house. And when we during the second day requested cheese, as we where served a beautiful cheese plate the first day and have a savoury preference, they cooked up a savoury feast the next day.
