"Overall, we had a good stay but sadly the walls and ceilings are paper thin so you can hear absolutely everything including toilets flushing above and next door. We did request a quiet top floor room but this couldn’t be accommodated. Annoyingly there was a family above us and all we could hear was them stomping for hours on end. Couldn’t rest during the day either as the cleaners were banging around. However I guess ryokans aren’t built to block out noise and the room was beautiful. Comfy bed, good shower. We enjoyed a private Onsen bath overlooking the lake which was very relaxing and peaceful. The breakfast was also amazing although we didn’t have a clue what we were eating !"

"Perfect expression of Japanese omotenashi—a distinct form of hospitality that is highly attentive without seeming effusive or pandering. Beautiful property that very much lives up to, and in some ways exceeds, the high bar set by its sister property. The location on the side of Mount Fuji is breathtaking, particularly if you make the effort to look up on an early morning of a clear day. Property is also surprisingly family friendly. Will definitely return."

"We had an amazing stay at Fuji View Hotel. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. One of our favorite parts of the hotel was the beautiful garden—it was peaceful, well maintained, and a lovely place to relax. The hotel also offers rental bikes, which made it easy and enjoyable to explore the surrounding area. It was a great addition to our stay. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. Overall, Fuji View Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Fuji area. We would definitely stay here again."
