"Hotel main lobby areas and room in itself was good. Restaurants had limited food options. However its close from the town center which had better food offerings. Overall it has more of a motel type of vibe, so the price per night seems a bit high and 5 star definitely seems overrated. "

"Checking in was both pleasant and smooth. Staff were friendly. The 2 bedroom suite we got was great. AC was working great. Suite was both clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was a bonus. Bedroom and washroom amenities were more than adequate. Breakfast spread was good. Location was great. Walking distance to many spots. Loads of eateries/waterholes just short jaunts away. Recommended!"

"The staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was limited but adequate. Location is about 10 mins walk to supermarket, the mall and public bus stop. Argus is a relatively new hotel and I have stayed there several times. I like it especially because the room flooring is tiles and not carpet. Overall if your looking for a clean budget hotel then this hotel is worth staying."

"I was horrified when I first saw this room. I didn't expect luxury but I didn't expect something that bad. It was nothing like the picture advertising it. The room was dirty and dingy, the bed cover had stains, the tile floor was chipped and badly worn, the paint job was old a dirty, all the cabinetry had swollen edges- as if it had been wet and there was no chain on the door. I could never have stayed in that room. I went straight back to reception and asked if I could upgrade -giving them a chance to redeem themselves and was told I couldn't. I told him that the room was bloody awful and he said the he was sorry and closed the door on me. I left and paid another fee for a room that was presentable elsewhere. You can hardly check these rooms in advance so 24hr cancellation policy is fraud. hotel.com should be ashamed having this place on their books. SO disappointing!"

"Very good location close to resort center for travel information, bus station, grocery and restaurants. Free on-site laundry machines are very helpful. The negative side is that our room on the first floor had some humidity smell and we saw a few tiny ants on the shower floor. But overall, we are happy with the property."
