About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Secluded Mountain Lake Cabin:

The cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath. It has 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen and dining area on the main floor. The top floor has a bedroom with a queen bed and a twin xl and a bathroom with a shower. The upstairs has a small outside balcony allowing a spectacular view of Wolverine Lake and the Chugach Mountain Range, including the 6,093 ft. summit of Matanuska Peak.

Here at Wolverine Lake you will enjoy a relaxing picturesque getaway. While staying at the lodge you might see moose, beaver, otter, muskrat, fox, and the occasional bear. We also have bald eagles, swans, loons, ducks and grebes. With the binoculars you are likely to spot Dall sheep on the surrounding mountains.

Native Wild Rainbow Trout Fishing I don’t think I need to say anything more for those of you interested in fishing. PLEASE NOTE: No fishing is allowed from April 15th till June 15th because of spawning season.

We know the kids sometimes want more to do, so we have high-speed internet, cable TV, and a game room with a pool table.

We also have a beautiful deck, fire pits, picnic tables by the lake and other on-site activities.

*** Currently a washing machine is not available on-site. We are in the process of remodeling our laundry room and refer our guests to Idita-Wash in Palmer. A discount is available for Alaska Lodge guests.

Fantastic
Just as described - clean, roomy. Absolutely gorgeous location. Already planning next year trip for extended family. There was a pair of geese with 7 babies on lake, a loon as wel. A bald eagle also visited the lake. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Great views, great stay
I'll start out with a response to some other reviews. The driveway down is steep but shouldn't stop you from booking. We had a minivan and thought as long as we went slowly and carefully, it was fine. We thought the bedrooms were a fine size. Yes beds next to the walls, but for a vacation house, no problem. The sitting area around the TV or eating space isn't large. Though the two loveseats were better quality than I've had at other rentals. The smaller shared space is really the only drawback (other than no laundry) in my opinion. Otherwise, the kitchen is nice. The view is great. Yes you are near another property, but it really isn't an issue. It was a huge bonus having two bathrooms. One other nice thing is the deck off the front porch is covered and get some shade from the sun or rain if it is drizzling.

Favorite Cabin in Alaska!
We stayed at this cabin last on our 10 day trip. Our four kids all agreed this was the best place of all because of the private lake, the kayaks, the bon fire, and the birds. Our host was also very helpful and kind. Great find!!!

Enjoyed our stay
Multiple messages to Cecil prior to the vacation. Never heard from him so used the phone feature. John was very friendly and helpful in the days leading up to the visit. The cabin is much smaller than I expected. In addition, we did not realize there was another rental Chalet practically attached to our unit. There is a shared game/pool table room, deck and hot tub. I was not a fan of the beds right against the wall. However, with the size of the room there really was no other way to arrange it. Some insects in the cabin but kinda expect that with the location. Bath tub was gross. Hot tub water-ick. Driveway down to the cabin is horrible. Luckily we had SUVs with 4-wheel drive. On a positive note the location with the view of the mountain and lake was absolutely breathtaking. My favorite spot was the deck. We found some really cute boutiques in Palmer and some great local fishing and hiking spots. Keira was on site some of the days we were there. She was extremely accommodating-provided extra towels and even let us use her dryer. (Washer/Dryer room still in progress). Overall I would go back. I would just lower my expectations of the cabin. The pictures are quite deceiving.

Amazing Views!
This was a great property and was as advertised. The views were amazing! It was super quiet and we paddled around the lake on the boat. The kitchen was well stocked and functional. The beds were very comfortable. But again, the deck, the views and the peace of this place were off the charts!

Its the cabin
The location of cabin right on lake was beautiful. The driveway down is narrow and steep and since it rained our entire stay was a little tricky to navigate. There are actually 3 properties off the drive and there was some confusion. The cabin was comfortable for the 5 adults we were, but had we had our original 8, the common areas would have been challanging. Even with the next house over "The Chalet" it was very quiet and peaceful setting.

Great views with abundance of wildlife. My son and I fished from the dock and small boat provided by the property and caught a few rainbow trout. My wife relaxed on the deck enjoying the views and read a book. Location is close enough to Palmer for convenience but far enough for peace and quiet. Thank you for allowing us to stay at the cabin!!

This is a great house
This house is really nice. Location on the lake was absolutely beautiful. We went kayaking and saw some moose. Also saw some bald eagles. The pictures were pretty close to the actual amenities. Just an fyi - even though the listing shows a washer/dryer there was not one available during our stay. The property info sheet directed us to a local laundry mat which did not work for us since we were on the go most of the time. We would definitely stay there again.

Hidden Cabin On The Lake
Imagine a steaming cup of coffee on a quaint cabin deck overlooking a stunning still as glass lake surrounded by beautiful mountains. If you are in search of a wonderful, comfortable and easily accessible Alaskan cabin experience then you’ve found it. Jonathan’s place was very well stocked, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. There is a separate game room for the kids (big and small), a lake with furnished boats, kayak and fishing gear just steps away. Communication was excellent from the pre-booking process to post checkout. We absolutely enjoyed our time at this hidden gem and would without a doubt book again. Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality.

Piece of Paradise
Johnathan's place is a beautiful house with all the right amenities (grill, views, boats, ping pong, billiards, hot tub, games, and many more...). This makes it a perfect combination of secluded get away with all the amenities, if needed. The views and location is amazing. Johnathan goes out of his way to make the guests comfortable and you can see that he really wants his guests to have the best time. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Great potential
Property is gorgeous and will be terrific. One day. Cabins are under-stocked, and a washer/dryer would be nice. The construction noise was not welcomed at such a quiet, remote, pretty location, especially at 11pm
