Tucked along the Cheat River, this mountain town offers excellent fly fishing and access to Blackwater Falls State Park's cascading waters. Outdoor enthusiasts can hike the Monongahela National Forest trails or join locals at the annual Tucker County Fair for authentic Appalachian culture.
We loved it at the Isaac Jackson Hotel. We felt so "welcome" from the time we walked in the door. I don't believe we've ever met such friendly, "happy", and efficient staff from the front desk to housekeeping.
We found our room "just as pictured" on the website. It was quiet and the bed so comfortable. The Bath & Body toiletries were really an extra special touch. As well as the two chocolates treats on the desk. We lacked for nothing during our two day/two night stay.

Very Clean room, super nice front desk, convenient location, gas station, and a store just cross street. The inn is also very close to the ski area at timberline and Canaan Valley state park.

We loved the hotel. Our room was great. Perfect example of a business updating their property to be modern. Our room was nice and had all the nice touches from a keurig, to a pad charger for the cell phone. Would stay again and recommend it.

My husband and I stayed for the whole week for a short vacation. Went to Snowshoe for 3 days. Our room was very spacious, very clean, and the bathroom is very roomy. We enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast is wonderful! They kept the food filled up and the waffle maker is the best! Coffee always ready and taste fresh. The people are very helpful and friendly. I would love to come back and stay there again. Close to restaurants, shopping and the crowd is in my liking.

The property was very nice, the rooms and amenities were very clean. It was a cute little spot, I recommend staying if you're in the area! Our bed sagged a little in the middle but otherwise we had no issues with our stay.

Lovely place to stay if you prefer unique experiences and not the chain hotels that all look and feel alike. This is a very nicely restored historical building, full of fascinating details. We got a very nice room, where the only negative point could be the bathroom door that didn't want to stay closed. There was no TV in the room, which was big plus in our eyes. Be prepared for trains passing the town (and making some noise). However, it's part of this historical place. If you rely on local...

Enjoyed our stay, the room was quite clean and in order.
Riverside Suites is considering changing the theme of
the Hotel. But my buddy and I like the naming of the rooms
for wild west characters. We stayed in the Wyatt Earp
room next to Wild Bill Hickok. We think Riverside should
keep the theme. Enjoyed the Riverside Grill as well.

This is a very nice little place. I was moving my daughter into her dorm and needed a place to stay for one night. This was perfect. The cafe next door was perfect for coffee in the morning. I'll be back.

Booked a cabin last minute during a snow storm for me and my two Border Collies. The owner actually called me to make sure that I knew it was a camping cabin - which I thought was super nice. He brought down a second heater in case the first one didn’t warm the cabin up enough.
It was a camping cabin so rustic. No WiFi or cabin itself so I skied up closer to the main house to pick it up when needed.
Gorgeous and peaceful surroundings!
Will definitely return in warmer weather to check out the...

You are literally on the top of a mountain at this place. I got here around 10 PM, and the entire town was shut down (on a Saturday night). If you're looking for solitude, this is the place...just you and the wood paneling.
