Escape to Zancudo, Costa Rica’s hidden gem on the South Pacific Coast. Our boutique casita is an oasis, just across the road from the beach.

The space
Welcome to our boutique beach cottage in Playa Zancudo.

Our thoughtfully renovated a typical Costa Rican casita adding thoughtful design and modern comfort. The space stays nice and cool with new ACs (bedrooms and can be used for living area), fast WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, a king bedroom, and a second bedroom with a twin bed with twin trundle. The screened in porch is my favorite part of the house, where I love to work, lounge on hammocks and watch the wildlife.

Outside, tropical gardens surround multiple lounge areas and a magnificent Guanacaste tree that regularly attracts monkeys, sloths, and colorful birdlife. The deck, built-in hammocks and sun-bed areas are as photogenic as they are functional, while you lounge by the saltwater pool listening to the ocean waves and jungle hums. To feel like a real oasis, no other homes are within view of the pool and lounge areas.

The beach is across the dirt road—perfect for swimming, surfing, sunset walks, and afternoon ocean breezes. Beach gear is provided. (Wagon, chairs, towels, boogie boards, pop up canopy)

Is the pool private? Yes.
Distance from SJO airport? 6 hours drive or a 45 minute flight into Golfito or Jimenez.
Private chefs? Tours? Fishing? Massages? DIY no-cost adventures. Yes! Happy to recommend.
Do you need a car? Walk to groceries, a few restaurants and bars. If you rent a car you’ll have more flexibility for adventure- but it’s not required.

Bedroom 1- king bed fits 2 max. There is not room for a crib in this room.
Bedroom 2- twin bed, and twin trundle bed. Fits 2 max. If the trundle is pulled out, there is not room for a crib.
