Lakefront southern charm in beautiful quiet area

This Florida vacation home located on a beautiful lake in North Florida is just what you are looking for! Enjoy a relaxing and peaceful vacation away from it all. This 2800 square foot home is located on Cherry Lake, Madison County, Florida. Beautifully decorated with southern charm.

Enjoy the crystal clear waters of this spring-fed lake nestled in a very rural setting just two hours from Jacksonville. Cherry Lake is ideal for swimming, skiing, tubing, jet skis, and fishing. Large mouth bass and fresh water trout are plentiful in Cherry Lake.

The lake is ideal for water sports as well. It is approximately a mile in diameter, almost a perfect circle in shape with a total of about 500 acres. This home has its own private dock. There are two bedrooms with a king-size bed in each. The third bedroom has two queen beds and the fourth bedroom has two double beds. There is an additional room with two twins and a small room with one twin. In the evening enjoy a marshmallow roast or a campfire sing-along in the outdoor campfire area.

If theme park fun is what you are looking for, Wild Adventures is just 20 minutes away. This has got to be North Florida and South Georgia's best-kept secret. No long lines and something to do for the entire family, at a great value. With a variety of roller-coasters, shows and wildlife.

Wild Adventures is a theme park where you can really get the most for your money. Wild Adventures also has a new water park, which promises to deliver some relief to those hot summer days in the South. End your evening with a fireworks and laser show that will thrill the whole family. Jump in your car and you are back at the lake house in just 20 minutes!!!

View of the lake and sunset was great.

Our family loves to cook. We were pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was so well appointed. Even in the cooler weather we enjoyed spending time in the dock. The sunsets over the lake were icing on the cake!

The facility itself was basically clean we did have to clean the refrigerator when we got there. Property could use curb appeal and paint on the inside and outside. Upstairs where the pool table was could use some blinds because the sun is very bright and hot in the area and there is dry rot in the window seal. Overall, all the rooms and bathrooms were clean and adequate space for all of us. Beautiful lake view and accessibility. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice place, beautiful view, great porch, plenty of beds. Only negative was that there was hair in the master bed when we arrived. Other beds seemed ok. Otherwise the place was very clean and well maintained. Sunsets were spectacular!

We met friends here (both of us have young kids). The house was perfect for multiple families, young kids and even infants (they had a crib in a room connected to one of the masters). The listing actually does not do the house justice, as it has way more space than you realize. Very pleased with the host as well. Great communication!

Loved the Lake House on Cherry Lake

This is our first stay out the Lake House, but have rented the log cabin next door which is owned by Tina and her Husband. This home is beautiful, spacious and extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this home to any family or other gathering as the inside and outside of the home is large enough to accommodate a nice large group. Renting both homes this year was especially fun and we were able to take advantage of both large yards. Lots of room for all the kids and adults to play. Thanks Tina for letting us stay at your homes.

Family Getaway

This gorgeous home right on the lake was exactly as advertised and MORE. It was the perfect vacation for us and our two sons and their families (12 total). It was very clean inside, and well stocked. The kitchen had everything you need for cooking and feeding large groups. The beds were also very comfortable. The huge walk-in showers in the two master suites were really nice and a rare treat. The kids really enjoyed playing pool upstairs and loved fishing off the dock. My son brought his boat so they could tube and wake board. He was able to unload at the nice public boat ramp and tie up at the dock at the house with no problem. We had some awesome family game time around the huge dining table at night. An added bonus for us was to all gather on the dock and watch 4th of July fireworks all around the lake. The host was outstanding. She was very quick to respond to any questions or address any need we had. I would highly recommend this venue.

Memorial Day Weekend Fam & Friends

We had an absolute blast! The property was AMAZING! The pictures that are posted doesn't do the house, lake, property any of it justice. You have to see it to believe it. We went to the springs, the swimming hole on the lake, fishing, trail riding, decided not to go to wild adventures because there was so much to see an do in the area. We had a minor AC issue but the property owner corrected it and was completely attentive and got it taken care of immediately. .We will be back in the fall to do some more bass fishing!

Pictures do not do this place justice. We enjoyed a relaxing week. Quality time with family. Home is well equipped for lots of family and friends. Very kid and pet friendly. Return to Cherry Lake

14 years ago, we stayed at the rental property next door and said one day, we would like to stay at Southern Charm. As a special Christmas gift, I rented the house for the family and we had a great time. We took the grandchildren to Wild Adventures to see the Nights of Lights, but I believe they had a better time playing at the house. There was plenty of towels, linens, and kitchen accessories. Only concern is no childproof locks on the exit doors of the house. Our 4 year old loved the dock. The hurricane did some damage. The playground set is gone and some of the trees are down, but overall, this is a very nice place to stay. We enjoyed the wrap around porch, fun to chase the kids around on. Thank You for allowing My Family to enjoy Your Home!

A Touch of Southern Paradise

This lake house is beautiful in itself - both inside and out - and then you add the gorgeous surroundings and serenity that the property offers around the house and you have the recipe for a heavenly, relaxing and romantic escape from the hustle and bustle of the chaotic world around you. As advertised, the sunsets were extraordinary and the night sky away from the city reveals a billion stars which are also reflected in the lake on calm evenings. Come prepared as this somewhat remote slice of paradise is a 15 minute drive from the nearest restaurant or grocery store and pickings are slim..
