"My partner and I loved this place. The man at the front desk was super friendly. The room was clean. We had the jungle room and it was just a lot of fun to stay in. Our room also had a jacuzzi inside which was nice to relax in after a day at Joshua Tree National Park. We want to go back and stay in the Cave room next!"
"This house was more than enough for our family of 5...very spacious and clean. The detached yoga structure is extra I believe but we didn't have use for it. I had to message the owner for the gate and front door code but he was responsive and got it to us in time for our check in. The AC blows cold, there are plenty of kitchen items (couldn't find the microwave though), a washer and dryer and fully stocked coffee station. This has to have one of the best pool & jacuzzi in the area... I couldn't keep my kids out of them! I highly recommend this house for your stay in Joshua Tree. Isolated and peaceful...wish we had been able to stay longer. "

"Spent a birthday here with the girlfriends and a weekend was definitely not enough to explore all the nooks and crannies. It had a beautiful view of the desert that was unhindered by neighbors and a wonderful vintage kitchen. A must-stay!"

"There are so many great things about this property. One can tell that a lot of thought and care has been placed into making this a true home away from home (with a luxury resort touch and VIP treatment) The kitchen is fully equipped, and the layout very convenient, The backyard was our favorite; the pool was clean (in fact, the whole property was very clean), and there were spaces for everyone in our family- from lawn games to serene/ meditation corners to a full outdoor grill and entertainment area. Access to Joshua Tree was also very convenient. Communication with the host was superb. All I had to do was book and enjoy our stay. We decided that next time we book, we will stay at least one week just enjoying this beautiful home/desert gem, as we were mostly visiting Joshua Tree during this stay. Thank you for hosting us. "

"We stayed at this property for our annual family vacation with siblings and their families, and it was perfect for our group. The house was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The kids especially loved the pool. It was definitely a highlight for them.The host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Anytime we were running low on supplies or had a question, they got back to us quickly and made sure we had everything we needed.Overall it was a great experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to book this home again in the future. Highly recommend for large family gatherings!"

"The Gatsby house lived up to the hype! From the moment you walk in to the amazing pool this property has everything you need. We brought our daughter and her friends for a graduation trip and we had a blast. The property is big enough for everyone to have their own space and we enjoyed the pool table and the game room. You have gorgeous views of the valley and we were able to watch the moonrise every night which was incredible. I highly recommend this property!"

"This was a great property for our family's visit to the desert. Pretty close to everything and clean. The backyard is amazing and feels very private even though the house is in a community. Owner was very attentive and friendly. Any issues we had were taken care of right away. Overall great place to stay."

"This home is a peaceful haven in a gorgeous desert! We rented this house for a multigenerational family trip and it was perfect. Very clean, a well stocked kitchen, lots of places to relax as a group but also easy to find space for a bit of alone time. The front porch swing was a favorite. We had a bit of trouble with the Wifi but it was quickly corrected. We would absolutely rent this place again."

"Calico landing was a wonderful location to stay for our family's visit to Joshua Tree National Park. The home was completely stocked, including games our children loved to play. Being able to spend some time in the hot tub and watch the stars at night added to the overall experience of our desert vacation. Our kids enjoyed being able to swim a little one of the afternoons as well. The hosts were very helpful with wonderful communication, streamlining the entire process. We could not have picked a better location for visiting Joshua Tree!"

"The property was clean and the check in process was super easy. Lots of driveway space for up to 4 cars if needed. The host has some really cool unique instruments that he allows you to play and left instructions on how to do so. Location is very close to town but about 40-60 minutes from sites like arch rock, skull rock, and the hall of horrors. Overall it was a fantastic stay, we watched some classic VHS tapes like jurassic park and indiana jones. We would definitely come back in the future! :)"

"Spent the weekend prior to picking up our lab puppy..Larry! beautiful house and landscaping very relaxing. Close to pioneer town and giant rock cafe. Everything was absolutely perfect to perfection. Randall was so awesome and so was their fresh homemade banana bread. What a tasty surprise! Beds super comfy, hot tub "hot" and relaxing. Really really enjoyed every minute at the Bohemian Rhapsody. "Getting to the property was a little challenging as there were road signs that were missing but we found Apple Maps or google maps to work ok.Gorgeous property very secluded with huge windows and open concept main living area. Nice private bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms. ( nice fluffy towels!)Nice back yard for grilling and eating under the pergola.The hot tub was lovely but had some bees that were in the cover. beautiful place to relax under the stars.There is a game room which was fun to play shuffle board and full laundry facilities.I would definitely try to book this spot again. It was a lovely place to stay and I imagine in the warmer weather nice and cool."
"My family wanted to get out of town to see the stars, planet alignment, and just escape the city for the weekend. As soon as we saw the boulder house we knew it was the place. Not only was the house extremely unique, it had so many cool little rooms and themes throughout. On top of that, the pool and jacuzzi were heated, something about swimming in 49-50 weather with a desert backdrop makes it feel like a whole new experience. Our 2 dogs loved the openness, and if you walk the property you find secret chill places. Very fun, very trippy. Definitely going back"
