"Mariposa is the best kept secret in Placencia - my experience was excellent, end to end. It’s a beautiful beach front property with amazingly friendly staff (and central A/C!) that made our stay extremely enjoyable and memorable. We found it to be a great choice over some of the nicer, comparable options like Turtle Inn, since Mariposa has more of a boutique vibe, and we felt offered a better value overall. I plan to return again next year and will definitely book here again. Dave Swanson"

"Beautiful boutique experience with spacious, clean rooms, wonderful staff, a delicious hot breakfast to order, a great bartender and lovely pool and beach. We did not take advantage of all of the amenities, but they also have an outdoor yoga studio, paddle boards and kayaks. On a personal note, we were unable to get to our intended destination and had to book Kalimera last minute and they immediately turned a bad day into everything we had hoped for during our last days in Belize.
