Cozy Cabin
Our family loved this cute log cabin over spring break! The kids loved playing on the snow, fishing at the pond and we enjoyed having fires in the wood burning stove at night. Great hiking all around the surrounding mountains and in the gorge. Lori was great and we loved our stay.

Ski trip
Checked in after dark, had to have property owner send someone to drive us to property since it was not on GPS. We had to park and walk over bridge in dark to get to the property and there was no lights to see. Had to use our cell phones to see to get in. The stairs in unit were shakey and we were concerned for our 4 year old going up them. Other than this it was wonderful and I would stay there again. Loved the creek hearing the running water. Beautiful property!

Peaceful
Such a beautiful and peaceful property. We enjoyed every aspect of the cabin and property. We did a lot of ice fishing and just relaxing. The cabin was well supplied with cooking equipment, I cooked most meals every day during our week stay. They provided plenty of fire wood for the fireplace and also had an additional heat source so we were very warm and comfortable. The only downside is their water is not very warm. I did let the owners know and my understanding is they are going to take care of so this may not be an issue now. Communication was excellent as well.

This cabin really out did my expectations! The pictures do not do it justice. The cabin has a beautiful wrap around deck with bridge over the running creek. The sound of the water outside could be heard in every room! The beds were comfy and it was very clean. My family will definitely stay again. We even met new friends who were staying at the cabin across the pond. The inside of the cabin smelled new and we had plenty of room. My husband loved fishing out in the pond. I could go on and on and so happy to say this listing was the first one that exceeded my expectations. We love it. Lori your awesome. Can’t wait to go back hmm maybe in the winter to see the snow.

Unsure
The cabin, stream and pond was beautiful. However it was hard to find without any house number and no designated parking. Kids on ATV’s were frequently driving on the dirt road right next to the cabin. It’s very close to other properties to where you could hear conversations. And there were fireworks.

Luckily we found the cabin on our own. Random kids fishing or boating on so called our pond that came with cabin. All hours of day random kids riding 4 wheelers and dirt bikes flying by cabin random dogs always at cabin kids wouldnt go out alone because one kept trying to bite there ankles was backhoesand big trucks driving direcly by cabin all day long no seclusion at all may as well been in town.the grill was rusted out couldnt use it water pressire in shower was slim to none no parking beside cabin gotta carry you things down a path and over a bridge to cabin. Overall the cabin was super nice just not what it was listed our next stay will be somewhere different definitely was not worth the money we spent for what it ended up being this place should be way cheaper and id probably stay again be the only way

Please read the reviews before your stay
My family and I stayed in this cabin for two nights. It is a gorgeous property and a comfortable stay. Lori is very kind and accommodating. I recommend reading all the reviews before booking, as the listing does not outline a few key points. The reviews outline an accurate picture and not one-off situations. -you need to bring any pantry staples, condiments, and kitchen paper products with you. All that is provided is three roles of toilet paper, two trash bags, and salt/pepper. This is not a deal breaker, but it is not outlined in the listing and very different from most vacation rentals. So, we were not prepared. -the property is not secluded. It is a cabin on the host’s property, which is also an operating business property. The cabin was 200-300 feet from the host’s home (I could see the light from their tv in our bedroom at night). I mention this because if you are looking for quiet and secluded, this may not be the rental for you. We were kept up late into the evening (10-11pm) by headlights, constant drive bys of loud truck noises, and barking dogs. The noise was distracting and uncomfortable … because it felt like people were all around and able to see in. Others have mentioned poor water pressure and issues with the shower. To be honest, this will not be one of the greatest shower experiences of your life, but it isn’t horrible. Water pressure is subpar, but doable. Nothing that a new shower head wouldn’t vastly improve. True to form for a A-frame log cabin, heat rises. We stayed in winter conditions (10-30° temps) and were very comfortable downstairs with the wood stove and wall heater. The loft upstairs was stifling hot, though. Fortunately there was a ceiling fan to move air and my son slept on top of the covers. This was not a surprise and isn’t a complaint. Just informing those that may not be prepared. All in all, it was a great weekend. There are many small towns and things to do within 2 hours of the cabin. We were just expecting a more secluded space.

Cute cabin by the creek
The cabin was in Questa which is about a 15 min drive from Red River but the spot it sits in by the creek is beautiful. The cabin was comfortable beds were great. Bring food and all condiments if youre cooking. They did have utensils, pots pans and plates/glasses. Its a very peaceful spot in the corner of questa.

No water pressure
Beautiful setting, great cabin, stellar in every way except there was no water pressure at all. Barely a trickle to shower under. Had to have my hair washed multiple days at beauty salon in Red River to get the soap out of my hair. Property owner said water was shared with the cabin across the stream, her home and her father-in-law’s home and we just needed to catch the right time to shower. We tried early morning, late morning, early afternoon, mid afternoon, late afternoon and evening. NO WATER PRESSURE. Also not enough towels and not one clothes hanger. We bought 8 towels and 12 wash cloths and 25 clothes hangers and left them behind for the next guests.

Excellent Stay
If you're looking for a nice and quiet stay away from the touristy resort towns of Red River, Angel Fire or even Taos this is the place for you. The cabin is located off a secluded road within the town of Questa, NM. It can be a little hard to find at night but the Owner, Lori went out of her way late at night to insure we found the cabin. Travel during daylight hours. The cabin is well appointed, taken care of, very clean, and appeared to be new or recent construction. When you get tired of hiking or fishing you can fish the small pond she has with trout in it. If you are looking for a quiet stress reliever this is the place for you. We enjoyed our weekend there and hope to return soon. Tommy H.

Great deal for the money!
This cabin is a short scenic drive into Red River. The property is located in front of its own pond and trickling stream…very peaceful setting. The cabin is rustic but had everything we needed included working cable and wifi. Lori was very sweet and accommodating when we needed something. If you want a secluded setting in the woods with nice scenery, this is a good value.
