"Excellent location directly opposite train station and just a pleasant flat 15 min walk to cathedral and main historic sights. Room above expectations for price point. Very clean. Very comfortable bed and linens. Wifi fine. Surprisingly quiet given location aside from my window just above bar. Loud talking both nights until after 1100. But slept very well. Just a minor comment. Curtain very difficult to pull to block lights. Suggest a blackout blind. Would be so much easier. Very good...

"Gwenn at reception was amazingly helpful and courteous. I can’t say enough good things about her. Took time to work through problems with Hertz car rental. Room was clean and comfortable. My second stay in a Brit Hotel and will use them wherever possible. Rooms are basic but well maintained and have everything I need. Be aware reception closed at 2300. "

"Staff were friendly and that's about the only good thing I can say, the carpets in the common areas are filthy, there was no hot water for a shower and we were woken up at 1am by loads of drunk guests shouting. I got about 3 hours sleep. Wouldn't recommend."
