“Cecelia was a very accommodating host. Even though we had a language barrier, we used translation apps. She gave us pointers about local attractions and food. The facility is exactly as advertised in the listing. Nice little cottage style rooms.”

“This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. This would be a very fun place for a group of friends as there was a big field to play in, tons of beds, and a big covered communal area to play games. It's definitely a change of pace from the busier,……

“The location was perfect for seeing Rio Celeste and other rainforest tours. Everyone was really friendly and the food was great. Communication was somewhat interesting because I hadn’t brushed up on my Spanish enough but we made it work! The bed wasn’t super comfortable, shower didn’t get very hot and the walls weren’t exactly soundproof but for the price it was still a good value. I’d definitely stay here again!”

“Rick and Ashley were great hosts. Since we were arriving at Casa Familia on Christmas Eve after sundown, I was concerned that we might not have food available for that night and Christmas Day. Rick was nice enough to buy us some food we requested to make Costa Rican dishes in advance, and it turned out to be enough food for our entire three-day stay, save for some drinks and snacks at Soda El Parque. We loved the environs and feeding and watching the birds, especially the Yellow-Throated……
