"Staff was friendly and helpful. Booked us a wine tasting and tour at check in. Recommended restaurants in the area. Breakfast buffet was delicious, lots of fresh food choices and an omelette station. Great pool area with breathtaking views of the Douro River. Comfy sun loungers. Our room was clean and spacious. Only downside was a lot of steps up and down from our room to the restaurant and pool. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. "

"Rooms were just okay, quite basic, very stark. The property, lobby, and restaurant were beautiful which was quite a contrast to rooms. Carpet was a bit dirty and musty smell in hallways. Pool and bar area was beautiful. Town was extremely quiet when we were there and unsure of walking around at night. Exceptional wine tour by Bambuti arranged by hotel. Overall a nice stay. "

Breakfast buffets are numerous, plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed our room with a balcony overlooking the river very much. "
