"The chalet is very cozy and the view from the balcony into the forest surrounding the whole area was lovely, very calming. Very quiet surroundings. We didn't expect the gravel road that leads to the chalets to be so challenging to drive on. We also found the hiking trails to be too difficult to walk on. It is a great place though, to cut yourself off from the rest of the world for a while and take a break."

A place to sleep

"We checked in for 2 nights to visit our kids at camping nearby. Checked-out and checked back in later in week. Quick check-in. We had the suite with jacuzzi tub. The tub is so deep, it would take 2 hours to fill so we did not use it. Bath towels could use an upgrade. Toilet mechanism kept unhooking. Mentioned it to front desk, they didn’t change it. Couldn’t figure out how tv worked either. "

"Derfal est un excellent hotel propre, tranquille et les lits sont très confortables , salle de bain rénovée et nettement en excellente propreté. Frigo et micro-ondes utiles , vraiment un motel des plus recommandables. Endroit très ombragé par des arbres matures et terrain propre avec espace table pique-nique et balançoire. "

Terrible Vacation

"We arrived at the cottage and found that the driveway is impossible to drive down. This means you have to carry all your bags down a long hill (we have a baby and he requires lots of different bags of items). Once we got in the cottage it STINKS like mould or rotting wood. Technically it is 1 bedroom not two because the second one is in the basement with no door or privacy from the upstairs. The hot tub was dirty. The dock was falling apart and unsafe. The entire property is on a hill so you can’t even enjoy the backyard. THE BARBECUE WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED all the grills falling apart. It would not start and the cherry on top was when I notified the owner I was lied to and told the barbecue worked before our stay. I felt ridiculed and disrespected. They left us with no paper towel, no aluminum foil, no plastic wrap, nothing to clean dishes with, no spices not even salt or pepper. There was no broom to sweep up a mess. Since we couldn’t use the barbecue we decided to use the oven but they had no baking trays or any oven safe dishes. The canoe was rotting and unsafe, kayaks are inflatable and barely work. MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU CAN NOT SWIM HERE, because of the dock yes but there is also 100 feet of THICK weeds in the water and it is infested with catfish.Windows would get stuck open, AC unit was super old and not clean. So loud and shaking the window. Finally the weirdest part of the entire thing was the insane amount of cameras on the property. Creepy…."

"Les oreillers étaient très confortables. Même chose pour la douillette et le matelas. La vue sur la forêt est enveloppante. La fenestration laisse passer beaucoup de lumière, ce qui est agréable au réveil. La salle de bain est moderne et vaste. Confort et esthétisme s'harmonisent bien."
