"This was a lovely and cozy space and exactly what my partner and I needed for our short stay in Perigord. Check in was a breeze and the kitchen was well stocked and comfortable for making a meal. Communication with Julie was easy and she was always readily available. The cabin is about 5 minutes from Saint Leon sur Vezere and maybe 10-15 minutes from the nearest large grocery store in Montignac. Also, the air conditioner works like a dream! Good communications once established (took over 12 hrs by email & VRBO messaging & a phone call - told to msg w/ What’sApp). All comms are there, but too little too late. Very accommodating for an early check-in - thank you! Easy self-check in process. A bit weird to self-remove garbage 60m away on the street (& pay the municipality for it) upon departure.Great area...

"This is a budget hotel. We only slept and showered there. We brought our dogs. We booked the rooms at 21:00 for a 22:00 arrival. The entrance is automated. We did not get our confirmation codes to the doors. All of that was solved with a quick call. It was clean and looks like there’s food machines in the lobby if you needed something. The hotel is located in a business zone though there are other hotels nearby. Free parking in the back. If you are arriving late (and are with dogs) and leaving early and need a clean room, I’d recommend Ibis Budget. "

Housekeeping discovered it even before I knew of my mistake, the desk called me and kindly arranged to have it sent to me by post. (I paid for postage expenses, of course.) "Beautiful pool and garden, beautiful quiet location - house was good but old fashioned and required more thorough cleaning and attention to detail on cleaning crockery, checking for bugs in house (cleaning again) and ensuring that all facilities were in good working order which they were not. Heating was broken, dishwasher did not clean properly, no hot water in evening, then internet went down in storm affecting TV, with little to no contact with owner. This house needs TLC as did we so we felt cold, neglected and disappointed with our holiday. Apart from one load of logs for the fire which cheered us up we were pretty much ignored by the owner except when he arrived to check the heating and the plumber tried to fix. But it came on once at 2am then that was it. So very sorry but it was all too frustrating. Better communication is required. "

"The property is lovely, although a little tired; the room was large with sofa, good storage and some strange wall hangings (think swords and battle axes!), but the bed was below par - two different beds pushed together that moved and were not very comfortable. The gym is good with a balcony that looks over the forest, and the spa was great with good massages and spa facilities. Overall, a recommend, but wish they would upgrade the bed, pillows and bedding to match to overall feeling of the hotel. "
