Welcome to four seasons of fun!!!

The Huckleberry Haus is your perfect home away from home where you can unplug from the hustle of daily life atop Schweitzer Mountain, just 1.2 miles from the entrance to the best downhill skiing in North Idaho.

Huckleberry Haus is a brand new custom home that is most comfortable for 6 guests but sleeps up to 8 guests and will make you feel right at home. The main house has a private king bedroom, a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo, and a loft with two twin beds that’s perfect for the kiddos. When you’re done watching that family movie, or reading by the fire, the sofa pulls out into a queen size sleeper for extra sleeping space.

Two guests can also sleep in their own private rustic bunk house adjacent to the house with a queen bed, bathroom and shower. **Bunk house is now available for winter use!*

⁃Your feet will always feel cozy as they hit the radiant floor heating through the house and garage.
⁃You’ll easily settle in as you effortlessly leverage the kitchen and high-end appliances.
⁃And most importantly, you’ll restore and relax after all your adventures as you soak under the stars in the outdoor hot tub.
- Extra fun regardless of the season include walking distance to mountain biking trails, large selection of board games, DVDs and kids toys, access to a year round creek behind the property and a true escape to relax and unplug!

As a year-round destination, summer provides excellent mountain biking and hiking trails literally out your back door. Running behind the cabin you’ll wander by a peaceful stream as you meet up with the small connector trail that gives you immediate access to the Little Sand Creek Basin Trail system. During the months of July or August you can pick huckleberries in the front yard and all over the mountainside (hence our namesake). No matter the season, food, outdoor adventure and fun await you at the Village just a 2-3 minute drive away.

Feel free to bring all your toys and family along. The large flat driveway offers ample parking and includes an on-site RV hookup for water and electricity.

Cozy Home Away From Home
You can tell the owners truly thought of ways to make the stay easy for families. We had plenty of space for our family of 5. It was so easy to get ready for skiing and drive to the lower lot and hop on the lift. We had two runs in before opening bell! The sledding hill added another layer of fun to our stay. The kids played on the hill for hours. We really appreciated the storage containers so we could easily pack lunches and snacks for the day. The hosts were so kind and easy to work with and quick to communicate!

Winter Stay
Had a great stay for 3 nights with our family. Easy acceas to the mountain and the town of Sandpoint is a quick 20 minute drive down the mountain. Plenty of parking for our 3 cars. Very clean property and well maintained. Hot tub was spacious. Overall had a great stay and would highly recommend!

Our family of four stayed here for four nights. The house was fantastic. It was so close to skiing but was very private. Unfortunately the ski conditions were not the best but we were happy to get back to the house and use the hot tub and just hang out. The beds were comfortable, the entire place felt new and clean, and the kitchen was well appointed with all the basics needed.

The property and home are absolutely beautiful!! Feels very homey and comfortable. The only issue we had is the fan above the loft. My sister wacked her head pretty good on that thing and probably should have gotten stitches (owners should probably consider getting the fan moved). Other than that the stay was absolutely wonderful!!

Beautiful Vacation Home!!!
What a great home for our family of 5 during our stay in Idaho!! The Huckleberry Haus is very clean, well equipped and really just a delight to stay in! It snowed a lot while we were there and the scenery was so beautiful all around the home!! It is just minutes to the mountain which was very convenient for drop off and pick up of the skiers, as not all of us ski! And the hot tub was wonderful to relax in after a day on the slopes! Brandon and Rachel went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and it was comforting knowing they were just a text away if we needed them! Thank you for an amazing stay and if we return to Schweitzer again, we know where to stay!! Thanks again for all your help! :)

Perfect spot to enjoy Schweitzer in the winter
Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at the Huckleberry Haus. It was a gem! Few things we especially liked: in the winter it can feel really dark during the day, but this place has amazing floor to ceiling windows that ensures you do not at all feel trapped inside. Also, the radiant floor heat was super cozy and made coming home from skiing way more comfortable. Our teenage son loved the separate sleeping quarters, for the privacy and ability to sleep in when his parents were up early making coffee and banging around the perfectly appointed kitchen. I'm sure this place is awesome in the summer also but it's definitely perfect for getting to the mountain for skiing in less than 5 minutes. We'll be back! Above all else the hosts were super responsive, kind, and helpful when we had questions... almost like family!

Perfect Schweizer ski house!
Minutes from the ski hill and such a fabulous house for our ski trip with a group of friends. Loved all of the amenities and everything about this property. The guest house was wonderful. The hot tub after a day of skiing was incredible. The hosts were very helpful with any questions we had. Would highly recommend to anyone considering a trip to Schweitzer.

The Host and Hostess made themselves readily available. Though I never needed to reach out, simply knowing access was available by phone or email was a welcome surprise. The property and accommodation were first class. The small things such as top notch kitchen utensils, knives, pots and pans made using the fantastic kitchen even better. Coming home from long glorious days on the motorcycles, and smiling knowing you were happy to be heading back to such a beautiful mountain top retreat was truly refreshing. Having a garage to store our motorcycles was a really nice added bonus. I went on alone to other places for another week, but how wish I would have simply stayed put in this beautiful house on Schweitzer Mountain. Thank you doesn't seem enough. Thank you.

Awesome place for a family on the mountain
We had a great stay at Schweitzer. The place is perfect for a family of 4 (the cottage wasn't available, so it might be okay for more when that extra sleeping space is available). The place is brand new and the finishes are quite nice. The inside isn't huge, but it's all you need and nothing you don't. The garage let us keep our car inside which helped get on the mountain early without having to clear snow off of the car. The hot tub is in a very secluded area where you can't see any other houses and the morning sunrise to the east was wonderful. Easy check-in and check-out and the owners are very nice and easy to communicate with. We will be back.
