Blue Haven - Upstairs: 2 BR, 2 BA Duplex in Santa Rosa Beach, Sleeps 6 Located on the top floor of a timeless 30A home, Blue Haven 2 is part of a large home that can be rented as one, or split up into two separate units: Blue Haven 1 on the ground floor, and Blue Haven 2 on the second floor. This particular unit boasts a classic, Southern-style top-floor veranda with lots of shady spots to lounge and enjoy a gorgeous Gulf Coast view and gentle sea breezes. The back door of this home opens out onto a back staircase that leads directly to the shores of serene Big Redfish Lake, where you can easily fish, kayak, or canoe. Being on the top floor, Blue Haven 2 is flooded with lots of lovely, natural sunlight during the day. In the open living area, large windows look out onto the swaying palm trees, while two comfy sofas provide plenty of seating for watching TV or socializing. Next to the living area, there’s a dining table that’s ideal for dinnertime, puzzles, or a family game night. Next to the living area, the kitchen is bright and inviting, with lots of natural wood cabinets and pristine granite countertops. There’s an electric range, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a full refrigerator, plus a coffee maker for brewing the perfect cup each morning to take out onto the veranda and watch the sunrise. This efficiently-designed kitchen also has a peninsula bar with additional, casual seating. Down a short hallway lies the two quiet and private bedrooms, the first being the primary bedroom suite. Here you’ll find a spacious king-size bed, doors leading out onto the porch, and an ensuite private bathroom. The second guest bedroom features a queen-size bed, and there’s also another full bathroom and a washer and dryer on this floor. With enviable views of both the aquamarine Gulf of Mexico and shimmering Big Redfish Lake, you would be hard-pressed to find a spot on 30A with such a best-of-both-worlds location. Guests of Blue Haven 2 can easily take the steps down to the lake in their backyard, or stroll a few minutes away to the Blue Lake Road public beach access point for a day in the sand and surf. The delicious dining options, art huts, and boutiques at Gulf Place are also only a hop and a skip from your door. Perfect for us. We fished and canoed in Big Redfish Lake, walked to the cafe and road bikes to Alys Beach. Also in a Nice quiet location at the end of the street in the cute community of Blue mountain.
